So if Chauncey destroys Chris Paul for the next two games does that kinda knock CP off the mantle as the top PG in the NBA or what?

I mean he is obviously good and fun to watch but he is getting absolutely destroyed in this series.... they basically lost the first two games because of how bad Billups owned CP.

note: i have only watched the first half of each game in this series as it is on so late on the east coast.

I haven't really watched the matchup between Billups and Paul but some commentator yesteray said that Chris Paul doesn't guard Chauncey. Byron Scott has them switching on defense so someone else will guard Billups, which sometimes will cause confusion or leave Billups open as they switch. Basically the reason he's shooting so many 3s.

I don't like Chris Paul too much but there are very few people in the history of the NBA who can carry a team defensively and offensively and obviously at this point he isn't really there defensively but I don't know if that's enough to strip him of the best point guard title.

The one knock on Chris Paul's game is that he struggles against bigger/stronger Point Guards. This isn't something that's never happened before. Look at his stats against Deron Williams and the Jazz. His numbers aren't bad, but they're no where near his usual numbers. You can't really blame him though, considering the fact that the dude is like 5-11 160.

That's what's been happening from what I can tell. Billups isn't matched up against Paul on either end because they're trying to avoid foul trouble for both. I think Jones was the guy matched against Paul in the first game at least.

Spurs couldnt make anything, and the Mavs were making everything.

Oh well, Spurs rested the starters from 4min mark in the 3rd till the end. Hopefully, the next game will be a better game.

Yup, as a Celtic fan, I am concerned. Hell, that game was not even that close. Granted, I don't think the Celts have a shot in hell of winning anything past this round, but last night's game was a joke.

Meh I figured we would lose this game, but we lost by 2 points when Kobe was having a horrid night, some 7 foot white guy kidnapped Pau and decided to impersonate him and Bynum only played 7 minutes due to fouls.

I expect a aggressive Lakers team in game 4.

I'm a huge basketball fan but I generally avoid posting because the Lakers/Kobe haters are so immature and venomous that I just get angry and rage isn't healthy.

Only reason that shot was better is because
1) I hate Phoenix.
2) One of my favorite games from last year's Playoffs.
3) It's hard to believe a tard that takes forever to shoot free throws can make a three pointer.

Duncan's shot was a wide open three point shot.

Kobe's, you knew who was going to have the ball, you knew where he was going to take the shot and with two defenders on him it still went in.

Battier commented on a article in the beginning of the year that everytime before the Rockets play the Lakers, he receives tons of data on how to guard Kobe. Basically stacks of paper that the computer generates on Kobe's weaknesses, strengths, which hand does he shoot at a lower percentage, what spot on the floor does he like the most, where does he have the lowest percentage from. Yet he still made that shot when everybody knew he was going to take that shot in his favorite spot.

Devia: I have a theory as to why 95% of the people here hate Kobe so much but then we're going to see some defensive people.
