First things first, if I think somethings fucked up I'll call it. For what it's worth, I thought it was fucked up what Sasha did to Battier's face in game 1, and I hate how he's always trying to start shit/get in the middle of things. Shit pissed me off what happened to Rudy Fernandez when Lakers played Portland, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
With that being said, Artest and Kobe play physical. At a level higher than most others play, they were boxing out, that involves over powering. Naturally your going to go where the ball goes, you can call me being blind/a homer whatever, but the ball went to their right... given the intensity between the two players it's doubtful Kobe's going to just give up on the ball to Artest. Shit happened, intensity was high. All I'm saying really is it's open to interpretation and that's how I see it.
Umm if you haven't realized I'm a laker fan by now then your just a plain idiot.
Akiyama seems to believe that I was showing my favoritism because based on his comments I said he was rooting for Houston.
I'm a huge Luis Scola fan and long time Rockets fan. I know Luis Scola flops though, so I don't give him near the benefit of the doubt I would another Rocket. I'm pretty sure his teeth caught Fisher's head (hence the marks on Fisher after the play that had to be treated). I'm not saying that entire fall was a flop, but when you're trained to take falls like EU-league players are, there's almost always a bit of acting.
Fisher still deserves the 1 game regardless. The play was uncalled for and Scola doesn't deserve that. Luis Scola is still a flopper, though I love him.
Ya'll know if the shoe was on the other foot, you guys would be outraged. Dont pretend you wouldnt be.
Not really, to me it was a classic "Oooooooh shit did you see that??" kind of deal. Most people acting all offended and hurt and outrageous are pretty much hyping it up like what haters and homer fans typically do.
But what fun is sports talk without all you cutiepies? :D
How's that? because I don't scream bloody murder when Fish or Kobe make contact and have a complete calm approach when someone on another team does the exact same thing?
Or maybe its because I don't have a weird obsessive love/hate relationship with Kobe that most of you guys seem to have.
If that's what you need to be a fan then color me yellow.
You know you're all gay for this

lol
Umm.. first off, everyone here knew you were a Laker fan. The thing is... you're also a Laker homer. I haven't seen much negativity come from you during the Lakers play all season to be quite honest. It's been little to non-existent. When the Lakers won in a big game during the season or during the playoffs this year, you've stopped by to toss in some Laker stuff. When they've lost, you've either said something minor about them losing and that's it, or you just don't say anything at all.
The second sentence confuses me. Are you saying that you are showing Laker favoritism... because you're accusing me of rooting for the Rockets? How would that even work? How would that mean you're showing favoritism? You always show favoritism for the Lakers. You don't need to show extra to say I'm "rooting" for the Rockets. So you know, making a prediction like "The Rockets could win this series" or "The Rockets WILL win this series" doesn't mean I'm "rooting" for a team. If I'm rooting for em, I'd be sure to dogpile all over the Lakers, declare my rooting interest, and call bullshit on everything the Rockets have done wrong by blaming the Lakers for causing it. I may have stated things like Yao being in foul trouble attributed to their loss (it did), or Artest getting ejected was a raw deal, and was becuase he was Ron Artest (he did), but I haven't come out and said anything blatantly stupid like "THE ROCKETS ARE THE BEST IN THE NBA!" -- because they are not. I said the Rockets merely matched up well and could beat the Lakers in seven, and wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
I'm sorry. If that means that I'm actually rooting for Houston... then the term "rooting for" really changed over the years, and must mean different things in the NBA. I picked the New York Mets to win the National League East in baseball, yet I'm an Atlanta Braves fan. That must mean I'm rooting for the Mets since I picked 'em, yeah? Please.
Apparently you can't read and apparently even you don't understand what your saying anymore.Akiyama seems to believe that I was showing my favoritism because based on his comments I said he was rooting for Houston.
Maybe I can't read what you said because you didn't choose to use commas anywhere within the sentence to make it read correctly.
Also, it's you're* -- not your in that situation. I'm pretty sure you shouldn't accuse someone of being unable to read when you can't write.
I don't want to get into a shitting contest with you over spelling and grammar though, so why don't we drop it, admit we will never agree on this subject, and just avoid the situation all together? I'll drop it if you will.
Did someone already bring this up?
Dirk Nowitzki having ‘tough time’ personally
By STEPHEN HAWKINS, AP Sports Writer 14 hours, 30 minutes ago
DALLAS (AP)—Mavericks All-Star Dirk Nowitzki(notes) offered no explanation Thursday about the arrest of a woman at his home, saying only that he is having personal troubles now.
When asked about his relationship with 37-year-old Cristal Taylor, who was arrested on a probation violation and theft of services warrants Wednesday, Nowitzki declined comment.
“It’s pretty obvious that I’m going through a tough time in my personal life right now, but like I always have, I want to kind of keep my private life private,” he said. “I’m not at the stage where I can talk about it yet and feel comfortable talking about it.”
The Mavericks trail Denver 2-0 in the Western Conference semifinals entering Game 3 on Saturday.
“I’ll be ready,” said Nowitzki, who returned with his team from Denver on Wednesday afternoon.
Dallas police said Taylor was taken into custody Wednesday morning at Nowitzki’s home. She remained in Dallas County Jail on Thursday on $20,000 bond. A jail official said there was no record of an attorney for Taylor.
A 2006 indictment alleging theft of service in Jefferson County in southeast Texas listed eight aliases for Taylor, who was accused of not paying for dental services in the range of $1,500 to $20,000.
The probation violation originated in St. Charles County, Mo., and stemmed from Taylor pleading guilty in 1999 to two counts of forgery and two counts of felony stealing, county prosecutor Jack Banas said. Taylor, who was accused of passing bad checks through a bank, had multiple five-year prison sentences suspended, Banas said.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said he didn’t expect this matter to affect the team.
“When you’re in NBA basketball and professional sports for a lot of years, there are a lot of distractions. … We’ll get through it,” Carlisle said. “This is a private, personal issue and I think we all need to respect that.”
Jason Kidd(notes) said the team was focused and had a great practice Thursday, its first since losing Game 2 on Tuesday night.
“I think he’s going to be fine,” Kidd said. “He’s a human being. Life isn’t perfect and you move on and learn from it. … We look for him to have a great game come Saturday.”
This is Dirk's fiance and she is pregnant. She also has 8 aliases, and she is 37.

I would think Dirk could get a better looking and younger girl.
What a dickjob. Can they fuck artest over anymore this series?
That wasnt even a flagrant 1
Was just a hard foul, whatever though it's not like he's going to get suspended and the game was already over at that point.
If you accumulate a certain amount of flagrants/technicals, don't you get suspended? If not, then who cares, if so, then he has 2 bullshit fouls called against him in 3 games.
