I think any matchup, at this point, would be fun to watch in the finals, and the postseason has been amazing thus far, but I really would prefer a Magic-Nuggets finals. Aside from the fact that neither have the superstar prowess of Lebron or Kobe, honestly, I can easily see Kobe or Lebron willing their team to another finals in the future, but I don't know when either the Nuggets or Magic will make it this far.

Also, I love Rashard Lewis.

A 2003 Draft Finals would be great to watch. #1 pick vs. #3 pick.

Because all flagrant fouls are automatically reviewed by league officials, Andrew Bynum's fourth-quarter Flagrant 1 against Denver's Chris Andersen was also getting a second look before Wednesday's Game 5. A follow-up review of Anthony Johnson's Game 3 elbow to Mo Williams' eye in the Orlando-Cleveland series led to the hit being downgraded from a flagrant foul to a personal foul.

The Bynum foul was a total flagrant. He came down with both hands. Sure he was swiping at the ball but that was only because he didn't want Anderson to get an "and-1." You don't go swinging down with both hands thinking you're coordinated enough to hit the ball and only the ball with both hands.

I'm surprised they downgraded Anthony Johnson's flagrant. He came up high with the elbow when he didn't have to.

Overall, I'm old school. When it's the playoffs the refs should allow more contact. I liked the days when Oakley would put you on your ass if you tried to put up some highlight dunk. But since the league decided to go all creampuff, I think they should be consistent and call all of these as flagrants.

I am a Lakers fan and it was a good game. The Lakers got outplayed and Kobe said it best that they got their asses kicked plain and simple. A Lakers loss makes the WCF more interesting instead of watching a team just blow through the playoffs like it's nothing.

I think this years playoffs have possibly had the worst officiating across the board that I've ever seen.

I like the fact that the officials add an extra element of human error to the games. It's always been like that, and it's just a part of most sports. However, blown calls shouldn't be responsible for wins/loses this frequently, especially in a playoff scenario.

Well first off, I wasn't actually telling you to come up with something better. Sure the post was directed towards you, but I mean for others you claim have a problem with Dimmauk. You know, it's not hard to hit 'ignore' on someone on these boards, right? Honestly, it's just like Mizango in NFL threads. They aren't to be taken seriously.

Either way, I just think it's interesting that no one posts when the Lakers lose, but when they win... they pop up. Not saying you guys are fairweather fans, because that's obviously crap and no one likes fairweather fans. I'm just saying it's not hard to come by and say "Oh, well the Lakers were outplayed tonight" instead of "Well if the officials didn't fuck us up the ass, we would've won!" or something similar. And yeah, I agree. People who bitch about officiating piss me off to no end. The officiating early in games hasn't been terribad, but it's because they change the way they officiate things late in games that causes problems. If they called techs/flagrants the same way late in games as they do early.. I don't think it'd be as much of an issue, but alas.

I've been saying "the lakers got outplayed" at almost every loss during these playoffs, and not because I'm terrified by Dimmauk or whatever legion of Kobe hate clouds the thread on any given day. Outside of this thread, Dimmauk is amazing and I'd probably go gay for him, but when it comes to the NBA he's an out of control animal and the blood goes rushing to my eyeballs and brain to fuel my 'no, fuck YOU, shithead' machine. You overestimate his ability to get under my skin for real, though.
