Outside of the Cavs starting five, their roleplayers are pretty bad. Well, they're great during the regular season when every team goes 10-11 deep, but when you shorten your bench in the playoffs you see how overrated they are.
I agree. They are below average, and only because they play with LeBron do they become sort of average. Either way, they have just disappeared this series because of how well Orlando matches up against them. That and LeBron made some stupid, STUPID decisions tonight.
Either way, his starting cast is still decent, and there's no excuse for how bad they've played. Also, there's a few turnovers tonight by King James that were silly.
I feel bad for Cleveland, everytime they get hyped up for a potential championship run they get smacked in the face.
if the Cav gets another heavy weight, reliable player to form a duo with lebron, there could be a dynasty. like kobe shaq reincarnation.
Where did I say this wasn't the case? Quote me instead of calling me an idiot. He has no roleplayers, so it's not hard to contain them. The point I made was that despite Orlando being much deeper, better outside, better inside, more talented top to bottom, making 50% of their 3pters and hitting a record number behind the arch, they are still having trouble closing out the game because of a single player.
This is now a one game series. Game 6. I think Cleveland will come out and win game 5, and game 6 will be an epic battle.
The only people who had Orlando as the underdogs in the series was espn and TNT because, well, they're dumbasses. You knew the Magic had huge match-up advantages.
They need a consistent shooter. When LBJ drives and kicks, he doesn't have a Kerr, Fisher, Posey or Horry. The guys he has now aren't winning any 3 pt contests any time soon
I'm not blaming them for LeBron making the shots, I'm blaming them for an inability to close out despite much better talent and superior depth. In the last 3:30, Orlando went 1-6 with 2 turnovers. On the other side, Lebron assists a 3pt play, scores a bucket, dishes to West, who takes it to Howard and scores, followed by lebron getting 4 free throws and making 3 of them. And while it's quite obviously not 1 vs 5 (I know you're being facetious) and lebron isn't scoring 114 points, Mo Williams and West had pretty decent scores, but still shot about 40% and went 0-6 from the 3pt line.
Incoming Dwight Howard versus Kobe Bryant not-so-epic finale when the Lakers win in 5.
Lakers can't win in 5 =/
Sure they can. I think Denver could beat Orlando, and the Lakers will probably beat the Nuggets in 6, so I think they can beat the Magic in 5.
The way you worded it seemed like it was saying "when LA beats denver in 5, we'll have a not-so-epic final between Kobe and howard". Sorry, I misremembered your post.
No problem man! Everyone misremembers. Ask Roger Clemens.
being a lakers fan myself, i can't see lakers winning more than 2 games against orlando, especially considering how both teams have performed this post season
