I didn't mean for that comment to start a shitstorm. I just have this belief that if LeBron were to go down tomorrow night (god forbid), then I don't think he'd get in because all the talk about his career would have been "What if he played until he was 30? How many Championships could he have won?" and a ton of other "What if" questions.

I know there's guys who have gotten in different Hall of Fames over having a few good years, but those are few and far between. Maybe he'd be one of those few? I don't know.

So the what-ifs will keep him out over what he actually done? Despite hall-of-fame numbers already, we'll keep him out because he could have padded that further. That makes no sense to me what-so-ever. Then again, the basketball hall of fame doesn't make much sense either. The guy who invented the fucking 24 second clock is in, but Lebron james, nah....

LBJ is a great player but I personally think it's disgusting how much the NBA hypes him up. Every other video on the NBA's youtube is him doing the same sort of dunk over and over, and he gets the top plays on their top 5 list even when the cavs lose. He is a hall of famer, but the NBA needs to realize that he's not the only great player in the league. I predict Dwight Howard will be the MVP next year if he continues to play at the level he's preforming at right now.

Why is it disgusting to capitalize on the tremendous market potential of the league's most bankable name? "Oh no the NBA sold out to commercial interests!" rings hollow as hell.

You were claiming he would be a automatic first ballot hall of famer, which based on his achievements as of today is very very improbable.

Would he be in the hall of fame eventually? probably, based on him being on the gold medal team and his other achievements.

If you really want to compare him to someone based on his achievements today, his career would be a lot like Allen Iverson's without the extra 8 years of consistency.

They came back from 0-2 against a much more talented detroit team, I don't think a 3-1 deficit with 2 more home games is insumountable.
of course they aren't out yet, i mean they do have the best sixth man in the post-season

    THE REFS!

I just don't know how lakers haters constantly say lakers deserve every loss where they played bad, yet when their opponents played bad, that they "should've won" and "this could have been a sweep"

I said he'll be a first ballot HoFer, and he will be, undoubtedly. Then Akiyama said not yet (which is cool), but then he said "So if he had a career ending injury in the next game, are you saying he'd be considered a Hall of Famer? Yeah. I don't think so." I find that absurd. If he retired at the end of the season, there's no doubt he would be. First ballot? No. But he'd be in. But he'll be a first ballot HoFer as sure as the sun will set, because he isn't getting shot 7 times tonight in a drive-by, and he sure as hell isn't retiring.

Incoming blowout. The Lakers should win this easy because they've outscored their opponents by like.. an average of 16ish points after a Game 4 loss or someshit.

Lakers are playing badly, if they don't shape up fast their lack of a good perimeter defense is going to wear them down as the Nuggets start sinking more 3s.

Ah...the refs are on fire this game. How many And1s will the Lakers get? And will they let Chancey play tonight?

Huh? Defensively maybe, but offensively, the Lakers have looked good. Aren't they shooting around 50%+? I know it's near 50% if it's not above.

But yeah, I agree they aren't playing lockdown D. The Nuggets bench is playing well.

There's been some iffy calls tonight. One that immediately comes to mind is the 'push off' call that was called against Billups with a few minutes left in the 1st Q. They had to play without him out there for about what.. 7-8 minutes? Not that they didn't do so bad, but I thought it was a fairly bad call. Then again, the push against Kobe that wasn't called past a foul was pretty shitty in Game 3, and then the trip in Game 4. Other than that, I really wish officials would call the game the same way early in the game and later. /rant off

Love how the nuggets is playing right now. Keep it low key coupled with consistent scoring.
