Who won? Piece of shit Time warner cable went out again...
Games not over yet, still 6:30 left, lakers by 8.
Ah ok thanks, got thrown off by blowout comment
why the fuck is nene flopping with 5 fouls
Was an exciting game till the Nuggets stopped shooting well. Also, I'm going to use the Refs excuse on this game too. Hopefully, Karl will complain and get fined and the the Commish will be happy with his money and turn on Foul mode for the Lakers in Denver.
Horrible 4th qtr by the nuggets, poor shot selection and cant put the ball in the basket, time to get rdy for game 6.
Lakers in 6![]()
Reminds me a lot of last years lakers vs jazz, hopefully with the same result.
I wish Chancey was allowed to play. Oh well Nuggets in 7!
Really good game. I think the Lakers dodged a bullet there when Denver went Ice cold in the 4th. Highlight of the night... Shannon Brown dunking over Birdman on the fast break. I seriously thought he was going to get rejected... Going to be a good game on Friday...I don't think the Lakers will win in Denver though...
Also, Billups is a great player, but sometimes, he doesn't make good decisions. He's put up some very questionable shots throughout this whole series.
No Smitty tonight![]()
Gasol had one foul the whole game....This time, it was Denver coach George Karl’s turn to complain about the officiating. Lakers coach Phil Jackson and his organization were fined $25,000 each for griping after Game 4.
“I thought they got the benefit of the whistle,” Karl said. “Every player in my locker room is frustrated, from guards to big guys. Gasol goes after at least 20 jump shots, 20 shots to the rim and gets one foul; our big guys have 16. Nene has six fouls, three or four of them don’t exist.”
Karl said he didn’t want to get himself fined before agreeing with Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy, whose team leads Cleveland 3-1 in the Eastern Conference finals.
“In the post game we’re lobbying for the league to help us with the refereeing,” he said. “This is too good of a series. It’s too good of teams competing that we’re sitting here just confused by the whistle. "I am not going to get fined," Karl said. "Every player in our locker room is frustrated. (It is like) everyone goes into the post-game press conference to lobby for the league to help with the refereeing."
Incoming payoff/fine from The Commish.
Doesn't Coach Karl want a more losely officiated game where his players can be more physical? I thought that played more to Denver's style. The Refs kind of put the whistle in their pocket and let the players be physical.
Also, who was it in the game that got blocked by the backboard when going up for a dunk in the 4th?
Any guesses? :DIn an accusation that goes straight to the heart of the sport's integrity, one member of the Nuggets shook his head in disgust after the game, and could not believe how cheap it was for Los Angeles to buy a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference finals. "The Lakers paid $50,000 to win that game. They got their money's worth," said a Denver player, not wanting to be identified for fear of retribution from the league.
Nene?
Basketball is corrupt.
Wow I'm surprised that's all they wanted for a win in the western conference finals. Maybe they'll double that fee for a finals win.
