Well let me just say this, Bynum at the very least will do a much better job vs Dwight than Varejao/Wallace/Ilgauskus.

He can't contain him and Phil most likely will use double teams on Dwight but Bynum has the strength to force Dwight to catch the ball further away from the basket than he did in the Cavs series. That I think is all the Lakers want from him vs Dwight.

I am not the biggest basketball fan, and I think ESPN's coverage of the NBA is extremely disproportional to its coverage of the NHL, but Orlando/Cleveland is the first time I've bothered to watch whole NBA games through (I can watch NCAA basketball, where there's not 3-4 full-of-themselves on the court at once) since MJ's days. I am so glad to see Lebron eliminated and him denied his first championship again. I'm so tired of the Lebron worship. He's good, but hes not the best there ever was, and even if he was - the NBA and sportsbroadcasting community would STILL be giving him too much credit.

The NBA got away from the days of humble, team players like Malone and MJ. MJ dominated the league as much as Lebron can occasionally do now, but he didn't roar and run around with a "look at me" attitude when he hit a big shot. He just fell back from his shot, and turned to go back up the court for the final seconds. I mean honestly, his reaction after his shot to beat Utah in the NBA finals after the crossover dribble at the top of the key compared to Lebron winning game 2 (barely, at home - and after losing Game 1 on their own court) of an Eastern Confrence Final. You'd have thought Lebron just shot Osama Bin Laden, although I get the impression Lebron couldn't give a damn less about finding Bin Laden or the troops overseas, fighting to maintain the American way of life that allows us to worship sports to this extent and overpay our best athletes like himself. Lebron is an arrogant, full of himself, showoff who is the face of everything thats wrong with the NBA+NFL these days. He doesn't throw his teammates under the bus like TO or OchoCinco, but he thinks hes the hot-shit just as much as them. Nicknamed "The King"? Having a throne? Please. Kings win their wars, and this joke just lost again. I won't be watching the Finals, but I hope when I turn Sportscenter on in the morning that Orlando wins it all, cause they have 1 star who doesn't even come close to Lebron/Kobe faggotry and a supporting cast of no-names who play together and prove all the doubters wrong.

Did you guys just start watching the NBA in the past 5 years. Jordan's ego could blot out the fucking sun. That's half the reason why I love him so much. Lebron, in comparison, is humble, despite the shenanigans he pulled last night, post-game. Talking about Lebron's fist-pumping after he hit that shot, do you not recall Jordan jumping about 13 ft in the air and whipping his arm like he was lassoing a god-damne bull after he hit that shot against Cleveland? Read some of the bio's on Jordan. Driven from Within is a good start.

That has to be one of the worst Sports posts I have ever seen.

The Lakers will have to pick their poison, Howard or 3s. They double Howard, the Magic's outside shooting or dribble penetration will hurt the Lakers. The Magic's offensive reminds me alot of the Spurs offensive, except they are younger, shoot better and taller defensively.

I almost fell out of my chair when I read that ESPN's coverage of the NBA playoffs is disproportionate to that of the NHL. What channel is the stanley cup playoffs on again. 479?

I watched MJ when I was 12-13, I'm not even sure I was alive yet for the Cleveland shot. But I'm pretty sure being a suave owner, children's movie star, and a classy, clutch veteran is better than the Colorado teen raping, hand shake declining, dog fighting, "25 million reasons to live," pieces of shit the NBA+NFL is rolling out one right after the other these days. But hey, you're right, I don't know the NBA, I don't watch the egoheads as I've said, but as stated - MJ could never be as bad as what's out now.

Jordan wont even have lunch with Charlie Sheen. Thats not cool. Did you know Jordan had/has a gambling problem? Also, Jordan as an executive made the worst #1 draft pick ever.

Aw come on, I'm sure he actually did want to be able to afford millions in golf bets and divorce settlements to show his penis size to other men and women when he said "I wanna be like Mike!"

I just think it's time to call an end to the Bynum project. He has the tools to be a top center but he doesn't have the heart. I call him soft cuz he plays lazy defense and all those hard fouls are on guys who are driving by him while he's standing still and he's trying to prevent an and-1. Bynum has shown flashes of being good but I think it's time to put him in the same category as olawakandi (sp?). I think he plays only cuz God blessed him with size and not cuz he has any desire to work hard.

I am rewatching the game now since I saw it last night at a bar. I wanna know why the Cavs threw in the towel at the first quarter? Why give Wally any significant time in an important game? As I rewatch that airball he tossed up on a wide open three, it just makes me more angry that he made an All Star game. I thought it was a joke back then and he only continues to prove me right.

So when MJ started jumping around and screaming after "The Shot" it was full of humbleness. When he punched Steve Kerr during team practice for getting in his face that was just full of humbleness too.

99% of sport stars are arrogant pricks, the media may hide it well but that's just how they are.

And lol at Lebron being the most humble sports star, he's as arrogant as they come. The guy has the words "Chosen1" and "Witness" tattooed in massive letter across his back. The dude who allowed the media to fawn all over him for months over the Knicks and stated he wanted to be the first athlete to become a billionaire.

All athletes have massive egos, if personality and arrogance is that much of a factor to you hating someone then there would be no way in hell you'd be watching any sports. Appreciate the skill not the attitude.

He's 21 lol and has been doubling his numbers every year, with this year as an exception but still a improvement. If everyone gave up as soon as you this world would be a horrible horrible shithole.

Are you retarded? The only problem Bynum has at the moment is injury problems. If he can stay healthy, the kid has the potential to be dominant. No Heart? Seriously? The kid has had TWO serious knee injuries in back to back years and fought and worked his way back into the lineup this year to help his team in the playoffs. You don't come back from two major knee injuries while being lazy and not having heart.

Bynum hasn't shown "flashes of good", he has shown flashes of Great. He absolutely dominated for a couple weeks just before getting injured this year. He was just starting to really get back into the game and start to learn more when he went down. If stays healthy, he has huge potential and has plenty of heart and drive to keep getting back up.

Just want to say, thank god "King James" was knocked out of the playoffs. So tired of hearing about him. Start comparing him to MJ when he actually wins a title. I don't recall seeing MJ ever give up on a game/series like I saw LBJ do last night. He started tossing up bad long shots and 3s instead of driving to the hoop. MJ played with the freaken Flu in the playoffs(maybe finals?) and played the full game and had a good game. LBJ at his young age was tired and beat down after a short playoffs. They swept two teams, so he had plenty of rest and he just looked weak last night.

Now Lebron can petition the league over the summer to allow his "crab dribble." I don't remember MJ ever making up retarded excuses to why his team lost or how a ref blew a game. I don't even remember MJ bitching about the horrible foul call that gave the Knicks Game 5 in 94'(Knicks went on to win in 7).

Keep telling yourself that about Bynum. I've seen him play and I know the difference between heart and no heart

lol anyone hear about Jameer Nelson trying to come back for the finals?

Just yesterday he said he wasn't coming back until the preseason but now he's suddenly aiming for the finals?

This kid was the reason the Lakers lost during the season but there is no way in hell he would even be a factor in the finals coming back that quick. Put Brown or Farmar on him and he won't make a peep.
