I swear, every time I do the calibration I get completely different numbers. 1 run gave me 33/39 and then another gave me 6/25, WTF? It's impossible to hit stuff like i dunno, the entire Death Magnetic album?, when you have to alt strum quickly and you just keep dropping notes (and see the chart glitch on you and show the circles passing the line where they're supposed to be strummed, and yet the multiplier somehow is maintained...)

I'm honestly thinking that I should buy another Les Paul.

And that's without even talking about how awful the menus are lol... I feel like i'm navigating through GH2 again.
so basically the whole thing is like go that far? lol

After like 3 hours my calibration is almost perfect heh... guess it will have to do for now.
This setlist > RB2 imo... I'm enjoying most if not all the songs.

OH and if you're on the 360, someone created/uploaded an ElectroCocobo (that's how he called it >.>) song on GHTunes, it's actually pretty cool heh.

GHWT has been pretty fun the whole time i've been playing, imo it's more friendly for starters than GH3 was, the expert difficulty scale isn't as crazy as GH3's but it's still fun. GH3 and GH2 were more of a bigger challenege (Jordan + TTFAF). still Fuck YEA piracy! GHWT has some crazy fun hard songs on expert, crazy train is one of them, BYOB imo is kinda retarded... trapped under ice is a lot of fun as well. Hot for teacher's just fucking ridiculous.

Still makes me chuckle when people say TTFAF was a challenge. At the time with Jordan it took me about 60 times to play it and beat it. TTFAF I only played it about 5 times before i could beat it everytime.

However TDWDTG, to this day I still can't beat that (I've also given up trying though as it hurts my hand). imo I feel like Devil is more like Jordan than TTFAF is, because it has note patterns that you're not used to seeing. Where as in TTFAF it is mostly just straight runs, with a few little hard things to do.

TDWDTG took me a LOOOOOOOOOONG time to finally beat, but once I finally did it I could do it over and over again.

TTFAF was a challenge? Please... if you can get past the intro, and with a little help from star power, you can't fail that song... ever.
The rest of the DF DLC wasn't hard either, they were just dumb strumming over and over.

You playing on PS3 or 360 Exo? Somebody was telling me about how PS3 calibration is way off for GH3 even.

Either way, I'm still using my GH2 guitar for 360 to play.

Drum kit seems fine to me. Kick pedal is easy to use imo (heard alot about modding them in rockband since they were too hard or something)

This is the first time im drumming though, so maybe im not a good gauge

    360, and I settled for 0/0... it isn't perfect, but it's enough.

Just picked this up a couple of hours ago for my Wii. (Have GH3 for the 360 and GH1/2 for my PS2, heard the Wii's guitar was the best so decided to go this route.) I'm liking it so far, I never played RB, so the drum play is totally new to me. Drum set seems ok, easy to set up. The sync from the drum set to the game seemed off to me earlier, but I believe it's because I've never played anything but guitar on GH until now, so it will take some getting used to. Liking the set list and character creation. The guitar is pretty damn nice, with the exception of the annoying loud click the strum bar makes, seems a lot louder than my 360 and PS2 guitar controllers, otherwise, it plays great. Seems worth the money, so far.

Edit: Another deciding factor for the Wii, is that I heard you can download songs from the menu, instead of having to go to the Wiishop. A rep at Best Buy told me though that if I had updated to my Wii's newest version, I wouldn't be able to upload songs from a memory card, or something to that effect....

They made hammer on's more precise. It is fucking me all up, I'm pretty upset about it now but I guess it's for the best.

I'm not that surprised, they basically said they had gone too far with the Scoreheroing of the game, meaning they intended to make it easier.

The hammer-ons in gh3 were made so forgiving because otherwise it would be quite literally physically impossible to play a lot of the stuff.

Got this from work the other day... drums failed instantly. Seriously, it seems as though more than half of all drums are defective, worse than RB1 defective instrument rate ><

The new guitar SUCKS ASS, dissapointed by the calibration system being utter shit. That slide bar thing? Completely useless, it's so difficult to use. The no button notes completely fuck me up too. They just added so much stuff to the interface of the game that It feels like im completely starting over again and I dont like it at all.

The setlist is pretty nice though, I just wish rock band would put jimi hendrix or ozzy in it :/

Yeah, I feel like a total idiot playing now, despite me owning the shit out of every song on GH3. I look like a moron trying to do hammer ons...

Heh, after playing RB2 you can't go wrong with GH. And hell, the GH ho/pos STILL aren't as precise as RB's. They're just like Aerosmith... but I guess it'll have to do.

lol I was playing Bass earlier, the purple line (that is, empty strum... you strum without holding any frets >.>) was way too confusing during the first couple of songs.

Yeah and Phelps looked like a dork, well they all did, but it made me laugh a ittle.
