Qufim (and desert and jungle and many other common lowbie camps) is 5min~ repops, most normal parties there find a corner somewhere and stay put leaving tons of mobs roaming completely unharassed. Let alone when the night time ticks in. If you do as Marcicus said and have both COR and BRD in your party and the luxury of a powerleveler you can get awesome results. Some areas like Behemot's Dominion are just generally quieter and you rarely have competition anyway. I've had a few kickass level sync parties in Qufim and Yhoator/Yuhtunga Jungles where the powerleveler is also your bodyguard and deals with the nastier aggro mobs leaving you free to roam and kill kill kill like a merit party would. Done practically all of 37-64BLU in Level Syncs (minus the occasional few k XP I've gotten while learning spells all my parties have been level syncs) and loving the system, 40k XP in about 2.5hrs just today. It's perfect for a job where I don't need to skill up any weapons and in BLU's case magic is fairly easy to keep capped while I farm spells.

I wouldn't do level syncing in a melee job where I need skill ups though, it was horrible enough capping the melee and ranger muppets after dinging 75PUP from campaigning the last ten levels.

Another great low level pre AU camp is Sauramogue_S, on lycos near where the pixie passes through. They're ridiculously easy, practically pull themselves, and you can keep regen/refresh/food+ bonus on. You just have to find a newb to lvl sync to and switch them out.

Any other good worm camps wiki says Flesh eaters in Attohwa Chasm are 32 spawns there. Is there any place where they are relatively close and away from other dangers? Or how about Maze of Shakhrami's Abyss Worms?

There's a bunch of worms right into the zone to Chasm.

Honestly? all SE needs to do is implement a better skill up system as I can see why some melee prefer not syncing too low. Everyone else pre-merit and post 52? I have no idea why they'd refuse. I' hit 70 on Cor and haven't stepped foot in Caedarva, that's basically win in my book.

As Klain said, I'd take a lower level sync if I knew the people were good, but a lot of times it's not worth it.
I did about 30 levels the last week in Campaign alone (170-200) complete and utter fucking boredom and a few deaths. You won't get hit by AoE's, but if you engage campaign mobs without a tag on and are seen by unclaimed campaign mobs..they will go after you and fuck your shit up. That and the fact each battle seemed to last 5 minutes didn't help either.

Details? I'm guessing early 20's on worms/crabs in the pond? I can see Maze, Bubu, and Korroloka working wonders for this.

I think level sync is an awesome addition to the game and I used it frequently while levelng my rdm.

@75 though, I'd rather do other things while trying to form a merit pt than level sync (on rdm anyway). I would consider a ToAU bird pt with a merit setup, but I get so many requests for the mire it's ridiculous.

When most people go to the lake camp, they just kill the worms from 18-20. I kill the crabs as well. If it walks, it dies (save banshees; I leave those for the PL). I easily made 300+ exp from the mobs with little effort on killing them. 5minute repops also help, and having your melee eat food(preferably meat) is a must. Dia also helps out. I usually toss on Corsair's roll and go pull another mob, then use Hunter's roll and repeat. I imagine you can make this exp just by roaming around the starting area of Qufim or in Pugil Alley by pulling from both sides.

For about an hour and a half (I think it was Thursday?) I had the lake all to myself. Then suddenly Friday and Saturday, within an hour's time there were three fucking parties and two duos all trying to kill worms at the god damn lake.

As for other areas, I've made 16k/hr in Buburimu and Valkurm. Depending on what I sync to, I usually have my party start right before we hit the Dhalmel area in Buburimu and we proceed to rape everything. Valkurm's the same way; we even kill the leeches. Bad thing about the leeches is that attack down suuuuuuucks.

If you can't find a bard, /brd works as well.

edit: Credit goes to Kurt Cobain 'cause I would have never done this if I hadn't seen his post about literally getting Monk to 75 by level sync.

I've found the best/easiest exp in Qufim was 22-24 doing Pugs/Crabs. Have one person pull and make sure there is always a second mob to switch to when you kill the first. It's a lot less stressful than worms because Aqua ball happens a lot less than sandspin and tremors.

Dual boxing the PL, I prefer that camp over worms in qufim or korroloka. No aggro, no roaming, close pulls, etc. If you have the spot open to replace the sync'd member you're in good shape.

Garlaige gate camp really isn't bad as well with a PL. If you start at 34 it's not too painful, and 35-37 is pretty solid exp. Close, quick pulls and no AOE to strain your PL.

I've been doing my SCH recently.. I've been synced down to 20-30 so much it hurts your learning of the job. I wanna get to play with my new abilities when I'm being so scaled down I never get to use :3 Also makes me more reluctant to spend my money on the best gear for my level because it'll be gimp at lower levels. Owells :3 Just accept a pt 19 levels below my own level lol. Exp is Exp at the end of the day lol.

Some levels I wouldnt touch.. others are fine. Down to personal preference.

I've done between 25-30k/hr in Qufim with COR/BRD and PL. There area few good spots where you can post up, otherwise... doing a worm circuit. Once your level sync hits 24, kick someone and grab a new lvl 18, and repeat.

SE made the stat changes on gear way too significant. As a result, some players have to change their playing style (In some cases changing from meat to sushi) in order to accommodate these stat changes. I rather be at my best with a meat and haste build than Sync to the point where my stats are trashed.

I've been leveling subs lately because I want to sell all my sub 40/20 crap gear (Def only/non HQ junk) to make more room on a couple mules. Also to get rid of some of the AF1 items I've been holding in storage for over 3 years now. And hey, having subjob: anything is awesome.

I rarely, if ever put up my flag. I think the only exception is going to be Scholar, because from what my room mate has told me that is a giant ball of failure pre20.

    I've learned this so far:
"/sea qufim" will rarely if ever return less than 40, and there's always a group at the lake. If there's not a group at the lake, there will be shortly.

Never, ever sync in valkurm to kill crabs. Crabs suck, anyone who says otherwise is lying to get you out of their camp.

Yes Virginia, 3k an hour solo DOES beat 3k an hour in a party if the people in your party are functionally retarded. At least solo your always busy, if your doing 3k an hour in a group that means (arbitrary number)% of the time is downtime, which makes you want to bite the heads off of kittens.

Summary: Everything old is new again, but with the extra bonus of killing the same shit you've been killing for an additional 10 levels.

Scholar is painful before 20 but once you hit 20 you can do BST pets all the way to the finish line.

I've heard about those crazy Qufim parties. A friend of mine got Brd 22-38 in a few hours when I first heard about it and I near pewped myself. I've yet to try qufim though.

If you want decent Exp though and dont wanna drop below Subjob levels, I highly recommend East Ronfare [S] on Colibri and Ladybugs (lv38-42, could prolly stretch it to 44 if you chain lots), and good old Beetles in West Altep. I always get 10-14k/hour at those camps with the right setup.

I havent tried the Summoner Astral Flow thing in Dunes yet either. I might make a Qufim party tonight and see how it goes.

Remember kids: Qufim parties are over camped as hell, so do your /sea qufim before you go.

Anything Post-TOAU = ffxi CANCER. It's slowly killing the little remaining skilled players by making it easier then ever to coat along with their gimp gear/jobs.

Thus keeping more players playing the game when it isn't just the playground of the best players? Hells yeah

Only thing I dislike about level sync is the no skilling up thing during the party if you're WELL over the cap.

If I'm a few levels over cap, I don't mind, as we'll eventually sync into my uncapped level.

Yeah I'll agree though..the only people I have seen decline are:

Higher level WARs: Main excuse - "Nah my Axe/Axe will be worthless so no."
Higher level MNKs: Main excuse - "xp/hr too low."
Higher level NINs: Main excuse - "xp/hr too low."
Higher level SAMs: Main excuse - "xp/hr too low."
Higher level PLDs: Main excuse - "shield skill won't cap."
Higher level WHMs: Main excuse - "xp/hr too low and it requires too much healing/status removal."
Higher level SMNs: Main excuse - "My avatars will be worthless and I won't have my yingyang robe."

Otherwise, most seem willing to sync at a certain range.

I just hate the idea of having to recap skills outside of xp. Everyone tends to need skillup in some way at some point but I find it tedious.

I'm levelling RDM on and off (so far it's dull as crap but I know how useful it can be at 75) and my skills are capped for a few more levels (basically until enfeebling goes past BLM) so I'd have the option to sync. I hate losing the nice gear I have. I got asked to sync to 56, didn't really want to lose my af body and hat so refused.

Sync is nice to keep parties going and where the gap is small. It's also fine if your skills are levelled from another job or you're prepared to get the skilling done. Level sync can encouraging gimping though... a perfect example is someone I know who is levelling PLD and doesn't want to tank anything other than lesser colibri... because it's too hard.

Level sync in qufim to keep a nice party going for an hour I don't mind but all in all I'd rather avoid it.

At 75 I will always refuse level synch offers for my Rdm and my Whm.

Reasoning is the following : If you're invited by morons/leechs in merit, xp may be bad. If you're invited by morons/leechs in xp, xp will be terrible, if you get any that is.
