We had a 200k wipe, a 100k wipe, and downed this mother fucker with 2 people alive.
Very nice. I can't get into a group that can get passed FCs :/. Oh well Q_Q
Tonight's 10-man PUG:
1-shot Beasts
1-shot Jaraxxus
Wipe at FC
Wipe #2 at FC, lose a healer and a dps (who was doing 1.3k)
Someone resets the FCs, locking the whole raid inside
Paladins start complaining about taking too much time.
New healer, new DPS join, ask for summons
Paladin #1 think's it's a good idea to wipe the raid so we can go outside to the summoning stone, despite having a Mage in the raid.
I yell at paladin. Paladin #2 says I should lighten up. I point out to Paladin #2 that he has an interesting take on wasted time if intentionally wiping us with no warning doesn't make his list.
RL Kicks me, #1/#2 DPS on the preceding fights/wipes.
16 gold for 6 emblems go go.
So if tanks can get 100% avoidance what is the downside? Do they get next to no threat generation or something.
You give up a lot of hp.
It's not 100% pure avoidance, either. Here's how it works:
NPC hit table:
1. Crit 5% (this will be c)
2. Miss x%
3. Dodge y%
4. Parry z%
5. Block a%
6. hit 100-(c+x+y+z+a)
You push the crits out with defense, so C becomes 0
You then need to make your total miss, dodge, parry, and block = to 100 (for level 80 mobs-- 102.4% for bosses).
Once every hit is either a miss, dodge, parry, or block, if you can reach a block value higher than what a given mob hits for, it will do 0 damage with every hit.
This works on anub's adds because their stacking debuff multiplies the damage *after* block, so if you block the hit down to 0, you could have a million stacks and it would still be multiplied by 0.
It's not effective without extraordinary gear for actual boss tanking because you give up a lot of hp, but once you're capable of doing it without giving up too much, it's pretty major.
Hurray for Race Change! Orc DK now instead of my pretty BE.
Trogue instead of ugly as fuck undead. Shit yea.
I was thinking of race changing my NE hunter, to Dwarf... but I could always wait till cat for Human... 25$ seems like alot.
finally got off my ass and made jeeves for my rogue.
Little tip: don't make 50 scrapbots because you didn't read the tooltip closely enough and see that each synth makes FIVE. Fucking 500g+ down the drain...
Finnaly got a new shield! SOTR is critting so hard with a shield with Block Value on it. Also got a trophy and I'm 3 badges away from my T7.25 chest which I think will put me over 40k UB.
If only Goblins came sooner and my BE Hunter would be all over them.
T9.25 Chest, 40k Health unbuffed YAY!
As far as race changes go, Blizzard already made it pretty clear that they wouldn't be allowing changes to Goblin or Worgen until a good chunk of time has passed since the release of Cata.
more bullshit FC wipes costing us insanity again... and I didn't even get to try my block setup for anub cuz we wiped on FC 5 times and didn't want to change shit up with mad skill chest being on the line
However, got anub chest, and I'm finally at 40k unbuffed as well.
/brofist falaras
We got to anub with 50 attempts.. OT d'c's at pahse3 is always fun!
and for a random accomplishment not 1 single Mail piece dropped from 10 man normal/heroic or 25 man normal/heroic not even a caster one...!

Never talking to an innkeeper again.
/jealous - the stupid pet is cockblocking me from that title. If I can get the gdamn thing to drop, then I'll have half the achieves left for Merrymaker, Noble, and Children's Week to get my pink drake. :X
Oh but my Druid? Got the stupid pet and helm on one run. And isn't even close to finishing the achieves for the stupid holiday. D:<
FUCK YOU SQUASHLING, had to buy it from some mouth breather who was the only one rolling against me and then asked us what it was. But yay Hallowed.
