Do the good orbs give an aoe charge effect similar to how the damage is aoe for the bad orbs?

If you and someone else are white and 2 yards away from each other and one of you gets hit by a white orb do you both gain the charges?

I'm just trying to figure out if everyone being smashed together in the door lets a bunch of them share the charge increase from each same coloured orb that a nearby person absorbs.

when orbs pop they give their buff in a radius to everyone nearby, like Loatheb Spores.

You seem to not be getting how orbs work still.

When a light orb hits someone, it blows up and does aoe fire damage, plus the twin spike debuff.

The debuff is nullified by being the same color.

The damage is *absorbed* if you are the same color.

Absorbing X amount of damage gives you charges.

It's actually not really like loatheb spores at all-- it's not some buff the orbs give off that you're trying to get. It's aoe damage and you want to absorb as much of it as possible.

Hence locks can sit there before the fight with light essence spamming hellfire to build up charges on themselves.

Finally downed Anub in togc10. We had 39 or 40 attempt left. We shoulda got mad skill but FC is just so fucking stupid for us it makes me rage. Is there a consolidated guide on how to do FCs setups or how to prioritize them or something? We just try out different orders until we get one that works. We seriously wiped 5 times on FC before we killed. To be honest we could prolly get insanity. 1 wipe on jaraxxus, 5 on FC, 2 on twins. and 2 or 3 on anub. Fucking FC -_-.

Do all your raid members understand the "why" behind the seemingly random FC aggro?
Have them read this if not: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...Id=20677866659

    TL; DR version of that:
Physical DPS FCs (including hunter) change aggro based on health deficit, armor (beware, clothies), and proximity
Magic DPS FCs change aggro based on health deficit, resistance, and proximity
Healers always prioritize lowest TOTAL health target (I.E. a pet missing very few percentage health)
Debuffs (like warlock curses, DK's chains of ice, Wyvern sting, shadow DoTs) are applied somewhat more randomly
CCing and dispelling cause some sort of extra aggro that's hard to quantify

Some people just don't get it when they get facerolled by the warrior/ret/dk who "suddenly" turns to them with glee and says "OOOH SQUISHIE!" If these people are raiding with you, have them read that thread.

Am I reading that right? If there is any kind of pet among the other group and we keep it below 100% all the time (keep a single dps on it, pets, whatever), the healers will completely ignore our burn target until it reaches global health below that of the pet?

correct, only problem is the healers are so completely OP with their heals it won't do much to burn a pet down to low health, they'll have it back to full by the time you work on your first target past 50%. plus, it's not a good idea to dedicate a dps to keeping that target in low health, because splitting your forces is pretty much a disaster waiting to happen. your experience may vary though, thats just my group makeup that it would be disaster.

we usually go shammy or priest healer first, then lock or rogue > rest. fuck the holy pally, he'll just bubble back to full health, just keep his beacons dead and you're fine.

Every week I'm assigned as the only pet dps on FCs. The amount of healing diverted is truly astounding. Usually on the cat (I like the pussy badumtish), use concussive shot, tranq shot and distracting shot to pull it of the clothies + divert something like 2 mil of heals onto the pussy to. Realy does make a difference.

I know the part about not splitting the group, but the pets only have like 500k health...that's 20% of one of the big npcs. Being able to take off like 80% of a target's hp without having to do it through mega heals would be huge, and then once we reach like 30% if we call out for CCs on healers (and maybe even save bloodlust till this point) while we burn off the last chunk we'll be ahead I think, rather than just OK BURN ASAP OR WIPE. Even if you just stick a group pet on their pet, the point is just to make their pet stay below 100% health so heals prioritize it.

    If I'm reading that correctly.

You honestly dont even need to put an entire group on one of their pets, just 1 hunter nukeing/dispelling hots/distracting shots of clothies will divert a massive chunk of healing onto the pet. Gonna look on our stats page to see how much healing I usually divert onto it.

    For the most part, yes.

In 25 man you want to sit 1 person on a pet fully.

In 10 man you want to make sure 1 person is always watching it and doing something if shit drops off, but for the most part just keeping 1-2 dots on it is plenty.

We have an understanding of the aggro tables or whatever for the dudes, I just mean is there a guide in what order things should die first. We had our prot pally switch to ret and when he did we just facerolled the dickshits out of FCs. It just seems when one of our cothies gets targeted they get gangbanged into oblivion.

Sadly they're really isnt much of a set order that can be nailed down as there's so many different variations on what the FC's pop as. If they have only 1 sham and theres a tree druid plus you have a lock then the lock can singlehandedly handle the tree for 30 minutes if need be though.

agree, but we dont have a lock, so myself and another dk chaingrip the tree at start, into a frost trap from the hunter. resto shaman should die first always, you can interrupt most his heals and if you spam purge the tree shouldnt be able to help him much. after that warlock gets priority, just because it was the only one who's aoes weren't nerfed to hell and back. Rain of fire can destroy your group if left unchecked. After that it's pretty simple, rogue if it's there, if not go warrior and burn the rest.

Are they using their threat reducing/defensive cooldowns? Fade, Psychic Scream, Blink, Soulshatter, etc? I have yet to die on my Priest just thanks to Fade/Scream.

If you don't have a lock and you get tree, I would be killing it first every time.

There's a few main things I'd advise in general as to kill orders:

The first is simple. If you have a lock and you get the tree, you kill the other healer first and the tree is the last thing to die.

Don't come up with some huge complex shit where everybody's controlling something and like 2 people are actually full on dpsing. Make sure you have an MS and as much dps as you possibly can on the primary target, especially if it's the tree, and especially on the first mob you're killing.

As a general rule, provided you have good control on the 2nd healer, kill 1 healer, then take out melee dps (seriously if you can't deal with the lock with cs's, sheeps, etc., get people that know how to play), then ranged dps, then the tree. If the 2nd healer is not the tree, you may want to kill it after you've got a melee or 2 down.

Other than that, I'd say the "ease of killing" order goes something like this:

given tree as 1 healer, and a lock in your group--
    Holy Priest
    Holy Pally
    Resto Shaman

    Given tree, no lock--
    Tree
    Resto Shaman
    Holy Priest
    Holy Pally

    Given no tree--
    Resto Shaman
    Holy Priest
    Holy Pally

Shaman is almost always going to be the first to be killed if he's up, for 2 main reasons. If he's with the tree, well duh on that reason. If he's with the priest or pally, though, you pretty much have to kill him first because the priest and pally are insanely pro with dispels, and keeping him under control while trying to kill one of them, along with his tremor and healing stream, is retarded hard.

Also, just a random tip: tell your healers to focus one of the melee mobs, so they always know who's about to get bum rushed.
