You don't "Need" a ranged tank for Keleseth, we just have our Druid Tank handle him with no issues. If one of your normal tanks isn't an idiot just have him take care of it..

Your damage calculations are wrong btw. It doesn't deal 21k damage with 4 orbs. If I remember correctly it's around 12k (10 man) with 3 orbs but i'd have to get a log next time we do the fight to be sure. I've dpsed Kel to keep up with threat with only three orbs you just have to be careful (one time I messed up and didn't reach the next orb in time, only 2 orbs is a one shot).
Not true, if someone pulls aggro off of one of my orbs, I have to hit them with a few nukes. I can shoot 2-3 nukes sometimes if someone has used Kill Shot or something and they still won't budge.Edit 2: The orbs don't have a normal aggro table, they latch onto the last person to take an offensive action against them. You could hit them with 50k threat and one white attack will pull them off. One hit of any kind is sufficient.
True, you don't need one, but it's a lot harder for a normal tank to pick up orbs, and they can be yanked off by dps splash damage this way.
Cookies: I dunno what to tell you man, I tanked him our first week (when he still melee'd, that was fun) and only ever had to cast a Faerie Fire (Feral) for 1k damage to get an orb that fell off...and it almost always fell off because I got too close to someone using Heart Strike or similar. I can't imagine those abilities are doing less damage and threat than what my single attack does. Moreover, now I tank Taldaram and occasionally cleave one that's passing by, but the hunter tanking K never had to do more than autoshot to get it back.
You're right about the calculations though, that's 25 man. Still, 12k hits is a lot easier than 18k (the transition from 6 to 5 orbs assuming an 80k lance)![]()
And yet, I've never needed to, except for my rogue when using Vanish for the Overkill buff, because when stealthed he won't do it, I thought I was crazy for a second when I read this so I just tested it on my alt (unless hunters are different?), I respecced so I had 0 mana and went and tried to use multishot, and it didn't let me, but it started auto-shooting anyway
Edit: Nevermind, guess Hunter is different, it didn't work with my DK... Either way, I've never run into a situation where it's been an issue, right click is my friend if I ever need it

late to the party, but whatever
Finished my Tier 0.5 set. It was probably the most horrible experience in my WoW career....these quests were a load of bullshit, I felt like I was playing FFXI for a second.
Got Rimefang's Claw so I can finally get rid of Lucky Old Sun (big ass baby rattle is not a tanking weapon). Uh... what enchant should I put on this thing? I only intend to use my Warrior for collecting Emblems to turn into cash, so not really looking to drop a grand on an enchant for Heroics.
Titanium Weapon Chain is a good simple one.
Woo, Tribute to Skill + Heroic Vigilant Ward (but no ToGC achievement cause I used my hunter on the 1st 4 ): )
bought the rocket x-treme for 25k gold from some poor sap. these things go for 100-200k on other servers, heh.

"Ignoring [Bloodsail Admiral's Hat] this session"
What's that about? Anyhow, congratulations on surviving that grind.
Looks like an auctioneer message.
Nah, it's enchantrix. When gear gets in your invertory it will ask you if you want to DE it.
Oh, that... yeah, I don't dare turn that on.
oh snap grats xaijin
Not much of an achievement, but i've started raiding ICC 10 with a decently solid group of old friends on my pally tank, managed to clear up to putricide so far which isnt bad considering most of us havnt been in ICC at all. need to finalize a decent setup we're currently running without bloodlust so it was really noticable on festergut killing him 5secs before berserker enrage.
