Decided to do a random heroic to get 4 more stonekeeper shards, ended up in FoS. Hilt drops, I win, sold it for 13k right after.

that's the second hilt i've won, strangely the first won I won came from the same set of mobs in FoS.

hey gulk i'm just wondering why people are getting kicked from the guild like that hunter? is it from bad dps?

Like I said he dies "almost" 2 times per HM in 25man (we'd soulstone/b res him for fun).

I explained each fight to him but it didn't seem to get to him too well on the surviving part, he did decent dps though while he was alive. Lk 25man HM is way above everything else in difficulty and awareness, and if he can't survive the other stuff.. well he won't live Lk for sure >.>

Were mainly looking just for LK 25man hard mode people, as the rest has been on farm for like 2 months now. Problems getting people to go, I mean people are already working on like 3rd set offspec 277 (hell my offspec 277 surv sets over halfway done!) now but doesn't help too much if you don't have 25 because of the insane healing/dps requirement for that fight ;/

yeah we just didn't have the tanks at the time and all 4 of our tanks we've been using for the past month are all offspec ones... like our shadowmourne put stam gems in it when he first got it.

then we got 2 good paladin tank apps 2 thursdays ago and they didn't show up for their first 2 raid nights so they were promptly kicked.

putricide is crazy as fuck though at first. i would compare sind p3 to put p1-2. good thing is that our 2nd night of progression we've been getting him to p3 consistently with only 3 tanks so there is little doubt we won't down him within the next reset.

If you have this happening then your administrivia is fucked, if your GP values and weekly decay are correct then there is no way a newcomer will get gear over anyone who's longstanding and hasn't been lootwhoring.

And yeah, EPGP is my favorite, it cuts out a huge portion of the drama that goes with open-end systems like DKP.

I really agree with that. The only way that a person coming fresh off of recruit status could get a piece of gear before other long standing members is if that person had recently gotten a few pieces of gear. And really, a recruit can only get that single item and once they have it, their priority is shit as well for a bit.

It does make me laugh though, because in my last guild which used EPGP, I got a protector's mark the raid after i became a member. One of their hunters rage quit like 5 min after it happened because of it, but the only reason I got it over him is because he got like 3 pieces of gear within the past few weeks. I also remember it took me awhile to recover from that mark and if I actually used gear that had a lot of competition like cloth, I wouldn't have gotten any gear for awhile after.

My guild gives out 700 GP to newcomers so they have to work their way to gear. Not that hard a concept bro.

I've been in to EPGP guilds so far. The first one was completely unfriendly to new people, and I hated it. The one I'm in currently does allow for new comers to generally get an item or two over an older raider, but I don't think that's so terrible. I know my GP went to shit because I had to bid on all my Sanctified tier and such which all the older raiders had, sure I could have saved it and stole some big item like heroic DFO but that's just being a dick and hurting yourself in my opinion.

When I was in BBB I got a full set of gear + hella offset because nobody else would waste points on anything except BiS

That's also another way to get newer members to spend points, since the older members don't want to spend GP on anything but BIS, but the newer members may be sitting in pre-ICC gear that they want to replace.

Bought 2 primordial saronite, 12 titansteel bars and 11 epic gems for 3k last night. Not a huge accomplishment but it's the only breeze I've had come my way recently
