Aye fuck banner drop rate. But yeah when i actually get better net to allow myself to download landsouls sheet then i will do so, untill then i will stick with banner, NES is nice when/if it procs, but banner is better in the long run.

Preachin to the choir man, I was right there with you in terms of the luck streak. Conversely I got my Black Heart on my first run but knew other people who had the same kind of bad luck streak getting theirs.

drop rates are just as horrible in wow as they are in ffxi, voa is the worst example of an over crowded loot table i've ever seen. 2 x 10 + random pvp crap, no wonder i dont get anything for any of my 8 80's.

VoA10 drop can be bought relatively easily, and VoA25 drop can be obtained as well in different way..I dont understand how it stop your 80 from getting loot.

Loot you want rarely drops, i think its some hidden game mechanic. It drops when your on an alt or have something better.

Like I've been trying to get 264 alt pve for surv gear on my hunter for past 3 weeks from voa... nothing, I started playing ,y warlock again a bit and 2 264 pve items drop from voa 25man ;/

Also I'm like next in line for H DBW and it won't drop ;/

I can't get a bow to save my life. 8 weeks now - EIGHT SOLID WEEKS of shooting for H bone bow and/or (heroic/NQ) Zod's and nothing.

The one, single time the bow dropped in that eight week span, we had too many members online to raid and the guild leader forgot to get me in before the fight - fucker got disenchanted.

Christ almighty, I'm starting to think I'm playing FFXI again - this shit feels like dynamis.

Why? Nothing else has dropped for me.

The only thing I've seen was the 232 sword in Pit of Saron and it isn't better, due to Orcs having the Axe racial.

Don't get me wrong it's not like i don't get nothing at all for any work i do, last week i did manage to walk away with pally t10 legs, dk 264 hands, bryntroll and this week landed spriest 264 legs, but i think this is the first time in current content since 3.0 that i've gotten things i needed.

I mean I like getting loot too but expecting something to drop is just asking for burnout.

Much easier to expect disappointment and be surprised when things turn out for the better lol

yeah thats what I basically do now haha, its the only way I survived HNMLS in ffxi... nice waiting a year for loot... but you get it eventually!

Wow that is pretty bad, and I thought me still using Shiver on my Paladin was the worst.
I'm only 0/4 on Reign, 0/4 on Phylac (one dropped so technically 1/5 but I lost it), 0/5 on DFO (again one dropped, lost it) and it still feels like shit.

Maybe getting hacked isnt such a bad thing. Got all my stuff back today and I have about 7k extra gold between my pally and shaman, along with my paladin's bags completely full of saronite ore.

Of course not, thts Blizzard RNG for you, but "many hundreds attempts" on something with 15-20% drop rate?

I think I just burned out my luck in Naxx tier with drop rates and roll rates, and it decided my punishment is never seeing essence of gossamer, I did naxx-10 once and got pretty much every drop cause we just did rolls and no limit on loot and I won everything caster for my lock...

I did go 1/1 on Black Heart :D

You are killin me here.
We have 1 Heroic DFO, like 3 normal DFOs (I wasn't around when the guild was doing normal festergut). 2 Phylacs I know of, although all our affliction locks/demo locks quit and I'm sure they all had them too.
Hell we have more Heroic DBW than Heroic DFO even though we have significantly less H Saurfang kills.

Wow armory says 25-50% drop rate for zods normal+heroic... its like near 1% more like it for the guild i'm in!

only 2 dropped since the week you could do heroic death whisper ;/

Yeah normal mode its.. really 50% basically for me anyway, but heroic its like nonexistant although wow armory says 25-50% for both... >.>

I don't want to pay for something to expect disappointment from it. That just seems... counter-productive.

I certainly hope I wouldn't pay top dollar for a car expecting it to explode on a daily basis.

Shitty droprates can exist in a F2P MMO - they have to give you incentives to (read: force you to) check out the pay item shops. For a game with a monthly payment that frequently updates content, however, the droprates can be a bit more forgiving.
