Downed Chimaeron on the first try, Atramedes on the third. Finding Nefarian exceedingly more difficult however
Happy to have some more progress, unhappy that we now have a learning curve to master. feels like hc sindragosa all over again.

One thing I like about Nef is that you can zerg down phase 1 and go straigth to the 2nd and 3rd one if you're "learning" the fight.
Downed Cho'gall, Nefarian and Al'akir tonight. My first time on all of them. No loot for me but a new long-ass title.
This guild rocks.
edit, meant first time on al'akir and cho'gall.
OFFICIALLY DONE WITH THIS FUCKING STUPID TIER OF HARDMODES.

Funny that we killed Sinestra and Al'akir pretty much in two nights after the threat of a guild explosion.
2 day raid weeks, f yeah.
LOLOL arvin you guys recruited TSX? His name was redlinez, came from my guild (akama acquired taste). Got yelled at enough until he finally quit since he couldn't do anything right... I'd highly suggest you guys use caution with that retard.
Downed heroic halfus, took us about 8 attempts. First try we got totally rofflestomped and the entire raid was dead in 5 seconds lol
That guy is probably the sole reason we didn't kill heroic nef, until our guild leader raged on him so hard we quit, with different kiter we plowed through itHe's also abandoned a guild group in a heroic. He's pretty much trash, just sayin. Surprised he landed in your guild haha
Surprisingly he did well on Nef, after a run down of how to do it. He was pretty bad on Cho'gall though
fluke miracles can occur, he was our worst skilled tank, by far. got benched on everything we could bench him on, and he had a shit attitude.

just got this bad boy. around 1/15 soloing stonecore as MM hunter. SOOOoo glad i finally got it.
Grats, I managed to get it on the first run when Cata got released as we were leveling up :D
yeah, how do you solo it >.>?
Never tried, but I didn't think you could [yet]
You only need to kill the mage NPC on the 3 packs so, burst it, FD, sneak, repeat, you can skip corborus and all the trash to slabhide with camo.
This ofc is pure guesswork.
Quick and dirty writeup:
349 ilevel, basically everything from heroics plus a handful of buyable epics.

On normal of course:
run in, camo to the third trash pack. misdirect your pet, ( i use terrorpene, <3 turtles for shell shield) and focus down the earthshaper. Soon as it dies, feign death, let your pet die. Get up, rez your pet, md it again, focus fire on another mob. With only two left the pet should have no issue tanking them, so just kill the last two. Dismiss the pet, go back to the entrance. call the pet, MD again, multishot once for the threat to the pet, and focus your damage on millhouse. Get him to 50% before the aoes kill you, feign death again, let pet die. get up, camo to the 2nd group, leaving the trash mobs from the first pull up. Millhouse will have ran to the 2nd group since you got him to 50%. Do the same thing as the first trash pack, burn him down ASAP. Once you engage the 2nd trash pack, the first pack come down to rape you, so burn cooldowns here. Once you get millhouse to run, feign, heal, and camo past corborus down to slabhide. Slabhide is pretty straightforward. Keep mend pet up always, and just slowly burn him. One word of warning, if a falling rock lands on top of your pet while it's tanking, it'll be stuck there and you'll be unable to see it, so you can't heal/move/etc it at all, probably causing you to wipe. So when slabhide goes aerial, put your pet on passive, and when the phase ends put it on defensive again to avoid.
Honestly the trash packs are 100x harder than slabhide itself. Took me a lot of repair bills to get it down to where i wouldn't die 3 or 4 times doing the trash parts of the run.
Anyone have any insight on why Nef 10man seems so much harder then 25man? Running with good people in both, but 10man seems like they didn't scale back Nef/Ony's damage much at all and we're forced to have a dps try to tank the adds in phase 1 (me as a UH DK). So I can take shit loads of damage from the adds and sometimes can't keep threat on them while im trying to run them around, get them slowed or disoriented. (We dont have a hunter, just a mage for slows and dragon breath).
I did find out that getting the mirror of broken images from TB rep/badges makes electrocute a joke (100k dmg brought down to 50k) but it seems like still tank damage, damage on me from adds and damage during phase 2 are Ooming our healers really fast. (I'm the only one with the mirror, everyone else doesn't have it because they are too lazy or just don't have the badges yet)
On 25man we're getting him close to dead just on our first night of really trying, even with people getting slopping from being tired towards the end of raid.
We have our DK go frost for that fight for kiting.
I haven't done 25m nef. But I assume in 25 you can probably drop a dps to get an additional tank for adds, or stack an extra healer if your healers are having problems, and just make it up by executing better in phase 3. 25s will also have better snare/root coverage.
That fight is pretty brutal on healer mana in 10, even in full 359 gear with 2 innervates and 2 mana tides, I am almost oom by the end of the fight.
