Grats man. We've had so much trouble with Rag. P2 is fucking killing us. Hammers during seeds during smouldering devastation etc.

Yeah, it takes a bit, once you guys figure it out P1-P3 come like clockwork, the amount of coordination and execution required for the whole fight is probably the most in any boss in this game.. P4 is a whole new monster too. There's a good reason why 600~ or so guilds are on him right now and he's not dying for most. Good luck to you and your guild sir. I'm going to enjoy vacation.

I watched that paragon live raid of h.25 firelands and the first two hours is them going 6-7, then spending 3 more wiping to rag over and over and over again. reg. mode final bosses 4 lyfe in my guild I think

You can go to some other random MMO forum, toss a stone, and hit a dozen different retards citing how easy WoW is because they mouthbreathed their way into clearing normal modes after they get nerfed. There's plenty of stuff WoW get's wrong, but its raiding is some of the best in the genre.

Look pve must be easy because there's a very defined rotation for optimized dps on a training dummy.

I played FFXI for many years. I always laughed @ WoW (My brother played the entire time I played XI) and taunted how silly it looked and how easy it was. I had no idea, apparently.

Upon Cataclysm release I had long been done w/ XI and decided to give WoW a shot and of course got addicted, etc. Being PvP in FFXI was lol @ best my focus was PvE and I have to say the shit is apples and oranges compared to FFXI. Whereas in FFXI "Oh just stand below this ledge and you'll never take damage" or buff up w/ 6 songs and pretend you're fucking superman for 60 seconds, or have the best bot and get all the loots while thinking you're hot shit, etc etc etc...

Situational awareness is miles beyond what any other MMO I have ever seen. Granted, I haven't seen many but the PvE scene in WoW makes the others I have seen pale in comparison.

My only wish is that it went back to tokens from bosses, instead of being able to buy 3 pieces of the tier armor without stepping a foot in a raid.

I do admit, I did miss feeling "superior" because I was a raider and casuals couldn't get the same shit as me, I guess thats a little obnoxious but that glorified feeling made raiding that much better, like during Naxx in WOTLK, I was raiding pretty hardcore and my druid was decked out in full valorous, which was the 25man tier set for those that don't know. I was instantly recognized as a decent player because of that, now there is no way to tell apart.

Just look for weapons and shoulders/helms. Those are still sacred cows.

Valor/reputation bought epics also greatly help smooth out gearing up an entire raid's worth of players. Last week we had four pieces of hunter mail drop and nothing for plate DPS. But the consolation is that our plate DPS got enough valor for one upgrade, evening out the raid dps gains a little. Ditto for our healers/tanks. It can't be understated how nice this is compared to the old days of t2/t3 WHY THE FUCK WON'T MY STUFF EVER DROP I'M FALLING BEHIND MY RAID ARGH anxiety.
