Grats to you guys that recently hit 6/7. Maybe you'll be able to edge out one of the 1030 guilds that are on Rag now.

I'm still floored at the difficulty of one boss. Even after it's been a few weeks since we've downed him, I still cringe when I look at the boss.

Yeah.. I'm only in a 10m and it's a PITA. We did get down and wipe @ 2% though even though I am more than sure we have the DPS to beat the berserk. I'm sure we will kill next raid night which will make us 5/7

Placed on World of Logs N10 Baleroc tonight with my BM Hunter. Not much of an achievement compared to most that post here, but I'm behind the times. I've come so close to placing on most of our fights, I finally managed to get it. First one from my guild, too.

Boots dropped as well and I managed to win them against our new Enhance Shaman by 1. I thought for sure I'd lose as I will always lose when I have to roll against someone 99% of the time.

Kinda brought my night up.

Domo stopped being a piece of shit and dropped a token we could actually use, my DK tier. Full Halo-elite look: complete.

My dps still feels like it blows, though.

Glad I'm not the only one.. I play perfectly and still get out DPS'd and it's pissing me off. Tho i'm pretty undergeared. How much DPS are you pulling and whats your aiLvl?

DW frost is one of the best class/specs in the game DPS-wise currently. If you're getting out-DPSed that bad, either you're way behind in gear, or you're not playing as perfectly as you think you are, no offense.

is pretty accurate, but do realize it's assuming perfect play (where some classes are easier than others) as well as a stand still and DPS patchwerk fight.

And I'm still not sure what trinkets to use for DW frost, I have pretty much every trinket under the sun but I can't get a definitive answer. Only ones I don't have are heroic HoR and Heroic Crushing weight.

Your gear is def behind for what I'd expect from a guild killing 4? heroic bosses. No firestones? I'm fairly certain http://www.wowhead.com/item=70107 beats your neck though....crit is bad for DKs.

Regardless though, realize DPS#s in a vacuum are kinda meaningless. I place pretty well on a lot of fights on WoL (had several top10s for my spec), but on Rhyolith I'm flat out never going to rank because I do legs. Domo you'll never place unless you're selected to be the LC person. Even Baleroc may not be as straightforward as you think...for example we have a spriest dispersion the first shard (during bloodlust...), and usually once more later in the fight when a healer has a debuff. It gets us the kill, but kinda fucks his dps#s over. Then you have shit like Alysrazor...top mage parses impact spread combustion to the adds that dmg is irrelevant on...aka you waste a GCD as far as the fight is concerned to inflate your dps for no reason. A lot of other fights have "tricks" or whatever also (speaking of tricks, a lot of top parses are recipients of ToT). If you really want to compare, go download simulationcraft and import yourself, mess with it, and see how you do for a patchwerk-esque fight. On real fights...a lot of shit comes from optimizing your own dps within the bounds of the fight, so /shrug, maybe see if you're missing anything from someone more experienced in your class? I don't think it's possible to be playing perfectly and not putting out good dmg numbers unless your class is that bad (and frost dk isnt), but 25k on Baleroc with your gear doesn't sound bad, seems about right to me.

Well this toon is my alt; I geared it up because they asked me to fill in and ended up trialing; we've had one firestone drop and it went to a fury warrior even tho I rolled a 97 on it because I'm a trial.. And I have simcraft; one of the warlocks in my guild, Gobuchul is actually on the team for it. Which trinkets should I be using?

22-24k is my normal at 376 ilvl. pulled 27k for the first half of domo because of lucky procs. Honestly at this point i'm assuming it's just RNG with killing machine that's fucking me over. I know for a fact there's nothing more I can do "rotation" wise to up my dps. It sucks all i can do is normals because my raid group can't handle heroics. Standing out of fire is a hard concept to grasp, apparently. Oh well, it is what it is.

the valor neck is BiS. The extra strength makes up for the weaker secondary stat itemization. But yeah, snag this neck until you get the valor one.

Licence to slay is still one of the best, sadly. reforging hit into haste combined with the STR is just really tough to beat. I use the DM card until i can get ahold of H HoR, which will replace the card. Go with license/vessel.

edit: also odon dump the essence trinket. it's proc shares CD with synapse springs, so it's not worth using imo. Macro the springs into PoF.

double edit: fuck it. failure's probably right. i have to be doing something wrong. 20-22k on rag's p1 is pure shit. Just completely clueless to how i can do better.

Although this will make probably minimal or no difference, you should:

Put a +20 STR and +20 XXX on your body/leg to activate the Gem/Slot bonus, replace the JC gem (67 STR).

Move move the 2 67 STR gems you've "gained" into other bits, like your feet and shoulders.

You'll gain 20/20 or 40 of XXX stat like this. By not taking advantage of the slot bonus you're actually losing on a possible 40 extra green stat here.

Also, unless you really need Chillbains, I suggest moving the 2 points there into 1 more on butchery and 1 more on epidemic.

i'm the only one in our 10man that can slow beth spiderlings so unfortunately i need chillblains, and i can't remove the gems from the body because the 20/20 mix gem would be a str loss overall. it's a 2 yellow socket chest unfortunately.
