"The shittiest drops possible." Aka, not shard of woe!
got my paladin to 85 yesterday, hopefully in another week or so I can be ready to do some raids with my small guild.
Got the urge to do something non-raid related, grinded 4 reps to exalted today, and finished 7 achievements, leaving me with only 85 points until 10k. It's nothing fancy, but I rarely do anything besides raid anymore.
Got my Flameward hippogryph finally. went afk near the ragnaros lieutenant and came back to some horde trying to kill me with ember pools and giant smash. I am forever thankful I have never chosen to play a pvp realm, cause the community is already shit.
Not exactly an achievement just for myself, but had the most wonderful Alterac I've ever seen yesterday in a random BG on my Horde char with a friend.
Most of the Horde players were lined up in front of the Alliance keep, scores were somewhat even, around 90 I think. Then we lost a bunker and we had a score of 80 to 18, both mines Horde controlled. Most of us figured that it was over, but we kept fighting right in front of the Alliance base anyway. Somewhat equal performance until we were down to 8, I think it was 8 to 68 at that point.
Then things got weird; the Alliance guys couldn't keep up with the rate at which we gained reinforcements thanks to both mines being under our control and we brought the score down to 3 to 9, having been down to 2 on more than one occasion. One mine was captured, but my friend tapped the nearby Alliance graveyard, giving us some breathing room which we then used to just mow down Stormpike, winning the battle with 3 reinforcements left.
Would have loved to see the Alliance's BG chat, must have been rather interesting.
Also, Loremaster some time ago (http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/...011_151100.jpg). Kalimdor was such a drag, even though some areas were unexpectedly interesting. The end of the Grimtotem questline in Thousand Needles was one big wtf, though, I hate it when the story requires me to be dumb.
haha that sounds about right. also, lol Derek
Achievements --
Rushed Warrior from 83-85 on Friday/Saturday (trust me I hate levelling, so it was hard for me. Got through 2 movies tho)
Pimped out warrior with some gear, raised its ilvl from 310 to 351 in one go, including 3 pvp pieces & T11 Tank Body & T11 DPS Legs, didn't spend all that much gold either, well, 11 truegold, but I had about 30 on me and I wasn't making money with it so ...
Tanked 2 trolls, ninja'd a 353 mace from ZG from a full PvP Paladin (I thought he didn't need it, but nevermind, I wanted to gear up ASAP), then later, after a short argument with a raid leader (main tank) for BH10 over my gear, got myself into his group, tanked it perfectly, but had shit healers so I eventually died towards the last bit
Warrior Season 9/10 PvP (the grey/blue metallic stuff, not the green 365 or Season 10 384 gear) gear looks so badass though in comparison to Paladin/DK. I feel so tanky with just the hat and shoulders. When doing TB it was rather fun rushing/leaping around, though in Prot Spec, as it was quite hard to bring me down
Only gripe with it is in dungeons is my AoE threat seems extremely weak in comparison to Paladin/DK. Shockwave I gotta do a bit of turning or moving to get them all in front of me, and Thunderclap doesn't seem snappy enough![]()
Beth down - 6/7 Heroic pre nerf now - Giggity
Ya, glyphed and spec'd!
I guess I made that comment but didn't state why. On trash I'm having no issues, but I was a bit annoyed at the Dragonhawk boss in ZA (when the eggs are hatched). When I complained about the threat, it was specifically towards that fight lol. Although they hit like pussies I still would like to keep them all on me.
It's fine though I don't really lose threat, and I've been generally quite good at picking stuff up quick, no one's complained.
I guess because I know what generates threat I don't mind DPS going berserk. If I know my threat would be weak on a specific pull I will mark a skull anyway and the DPS generally pay attention to that.
EDIT:
It took 3 weeks, but my mate finally got banned for 24 hours for making a Tauren Priest called Gadaffi. Oh it was funny. He was forced to rename it.
Waiting for my other mate to get banned now, as at the same time he made a Tauren Paladin called Moohamed.
I don't think anyone really pays much attention to threat on that fight, I never let them focus mostly on the tank to the point of stressing it, I'll use fade on my priest sure, but for the most part it's dots on boss up + empowered shadows > Mind Sear till there's only one name frame left on my screen, if I end up tanking? np, I can pop dispersion if I really need to (healer being lazy + high stack + targetted for fire breath)
I struggled with AoE threat a bit on my alt Warrior when I hit 85 as well. Inner Rage + Cleave spam is pretty amazing in addition to a Thunderclap/Shockwave as previously mentioned.
Dragonhawk AoE is still a clusterfuck for me too though. Seems like you never have enough cooldowns to try to deal with all that shit. I usually just tank that boss near the side with the adds and try to Thunderclap/Shockwave/Cleave whatever runs by. Can always blow Challenging Shout too I guess.
Runestaff is mine!
So slack! How many bosses down are you guys so far this week? We had killed 4 bosses last week before I got my Runestaff, and then I only got 5 essence off Bethilac and Domo because of the nerf.Fortunately they fixed it back though so after 6/7 heroic this week I'm at 56 of 250!
bold/delicate/brilliant inferno rubies 500g each = $$$
:D
Spoiler: show
Dropped to a 10m for this week only (Hopefully...) Knocked out heroic alys in three shots, beth in a good 30 or so. Gave Baleroc six attempts, best attempt was 35%.
It's funny how much better our 10m roster is than our 25s... We didn't even get to a burnout in Heroic Alysrazor on 25 without having about 13 people dead in tornadoes.
