Someone pointed out that the Baleroc WoL are screwed for BM ranking. Apparently some of the top Hunters on there are exploiting some Silithid that can be tamed with a damage buff on them (using the tame/release macro) and are being used for that fight. They're doing 40k DPS with the pet doing like 40-50% of the damage. Yay exploiting to be the best, amirite?
edit: nvm
Hit 85 Mage with 3900 Justice Points and 4000 Honor Points. :3 Time to start giving a fuck about my equipment!
That's actually not how it's done, the tame/release macro was fixed months and months ago.
You go into AQ 40, tame the blue one of the bug trio then you use the blue one to kill the small one, the blue one gets the buff that lasts for ten minutes, dismiss pet and FD.
And if you think this one was bad, yesterday on the PTR the molten front pets were using their actual abilities, so Deth'Tilac was 1 shotting bosses in Dragon Soul lol.
Dinged 85 finally mostly running BGs. Man that's fun.
I don't find things like this an accomplishment, but I feel the need to post it anyways. Finally through with the game, Logging on for 1.5 hours on a Tuesday, and then having a terrible PTR for a terrible raid just doesn't cut it for me. Also, 0 interest in the new expansion. After all these years I am willing to completely call it quits(for the time being maybe?). People do say that I will be back, but I don't think it will be for another year, or two if anything.
I was under the impression it still worked for getting "look" pets with visual affects. I just assumed that was what was being used on the bug. I knew where it was coming from and what the buff was, didn't care to know the details of it. The ones that are doing it have stables full of the Silithid for when the buff runs out on one... lol.
I saw a screenshot of Deth'tilac using Deth'Strike on a test dummy. Was amusing the see it's HP almost completely gone. It wasn't just Molten Front rares, it was all rares with unique abilities. Like Loque'nahak was "Pouncing" at his targets. Wonder if Ankha and Magria were tearing shit up because of the Armor rating increasing their damage?
No, there is another bug to get the 'look' pets. It involves having someone kill it the second you tame and then reviving it and logging out or some shit, I didn't bother with it since I have all the visual pets from the previous bug.
1. 40k is weak.
2. Normal Beast has the pet at ~39% of the damage.
3. Who cares, how does it affect you?
4. Thanks. I was just wondering how this was managed like 2 days ago, got like 10 of em stabled now and am definitely doing this on Tuesday if it isn't hotfixed. I think I can get #1 overall on Baleroc, heh. Doing 33k pretty easily to a target dummy with 0 buffs whatsoever, should work out to a good 52-53k on Baleroc if things go well.
Well you explained yourself nicely in that post. As if I hadn't seen it in any.. other... yeah, what am I talking about. It's always pretty obvious.
Enjoy your fake numbers.
Why the fuck dont people learn not to argue with fucking Failure?
Just went down to Booty Bay about 1hr ago to wait on the fishing tournament to start in an hour, saw the shout come up 1 hr early due to day light savings time and won the tournament because no one was around competing. Finally got that shit out of the way.
As opposed to all of the real numbers? Wait, what exactly are real numbers in a fake video game? The fact of the matter is, everyone is on equal footing at the moment (unless Blizzard nerfs it before Tuesday, in which case I'm disappointed). I've done what I can on Marks parses (and have good ranks on most fights), so beast is a nice change of scenery, and I get to "compete" vs other people doing the exact same thing as me.
This really has nothing to do with you, and DPS competitions on WoL parses are inherently unfair to begin with (gear, raid comp, kill speed, RNG, buff stacking). The only reason I quoted your post as half of it really made no sense (omg, 40-50% pet damage when standard beast is 39% pet damage, 40% must be a huge jump). Really though, it's closer to 60-65% pet damage with Yauj.
Furthermore, 40k is still not the least bit impressive and is something people are putting out normally without exploiting well, anything, as I pointed out.
Anyway, no idea what fake numbers are. Numbers are numbers, and doing silly things like this is what keeps the game entertaining during multiple months of farm. If this shit isn't nerfed on Tuesday (I'd be shocked, it's all over the net including EJ's forums, it'll probably be hotfixed), everyone is on equal footing to give it a shot, so it's a "fair" competition. I'm not using it for progression, to claim I'm better than you, or for anything other than to have fun and see just how high of a "fake number" I can get. I fully understand once it's nerfed it's not repeatable.
This shit has popped up throughout the history of WoW in all sorts of various forms, and while it is slightly abusive or exploitative, the only times anyone has ever cared about that is when world first/server firsts are on the line. The rest of the time it's harmless fun.
Also, if you want to harp on about fake numbers, go yell at Izzy for posting his fake numbers in his last post.(Hint: There's a bug with logs and attacks duplicating).
Got lavabolt crossobow heroic and hungerer heroic both in 1 run in a pug.
think thats a accomplishment (man were people trying to buy that firestone off me up to 25K) >.>
Hopefully my next accomplishment is a kael mount, been soloing him for weeks now... (and I think that phoenix twinblades dropped about 99% the time)
I'm about to win one of my server blades (Blackhand) in the eBay auction thing they have set up.
It's for a good cause (St Jude) and I'm a huge nerd.
Couple hundred bucks for most of them. Got mine for under 300 per shipping.
