How do you deal with chilling breath when solo? I tried it a few times, and he smokes me for 30k+ a hit and he uses it fairly often.

Edit: nvm, figured it out. Now to pray I can actually get the drop.

I know you seem to have your answer, but I'll just explain anyway.

I pop Deterrance for the first one, the rest I just have to eat. Sometimes they don't seem to hit me although he does turn for me. I know there is a Feign Death trick to avoid the damage as well, but I didn't feel like finding the thread explaining what to do. I'll use my Draenei Racial heal when I'm under half and just try and watch my HP compared to his. If I need to, I use a bandage. I actually stopped using bandages after the first three attempts because I could do it without the use of one.

Feign Death isn't so much a trick as it is fast timing. If you pop it as soon as you see him ready the move, he'll get interrupted and just go back to fighting your pet. As for the rest of it, I stayed in my pvp spec (which has raptor strike glyph, -20% damage taken), and fought just outside of melee range so I could run in to hit him with it before the move gets off.

I saw the weird thing where it'll sometimes just 'miss' as well, though I haven't been able to repeat it and seems totally random.

I had tried hitting it right as he started it, and tried hitting it right before it went off. Neither seemed to work for me so I just stuck with Deterrence and clicked it off after the move went off.

Got over my fear of PvE content (seriously, I suck lol) and got the "My Love is like a Red, Red Rose" achievement and the meta. 4/8 on the way to Long Strange Trip. W00t.

On another note, I've got absolutely 0 hit rating because I'm PvP geared and all of the Cata normals are fucking faceroll even with 360 ilvl PvP gear, it's a fucking joke lol.

Yeah it doesn't always work for me either, and from what I've read latency has a lot to do with it. Even if your timing looks perfect, the server will just say "fuck you, not fast enough".

Should run some heroics with us (BG people). I'm all for some cross realm stuff for some fun myself and don't really give a crap about how well geared someone is.

I should. I was so nervous but to be honest, no one even cared what I was wearing and amazingly enough I was not the most bad of the bads, had this one healer in Stonecore that was just terrible.

Do we have an "add me for RealID" thread around here? lol.

I believe a moonkin druid can actually solo it, at least that's what I read on wowhead.

On a minor note, not to brag, but it was a little funny/special for me. I guess the mount still isn't seen much around the realm, but basically I was watching TV while floating in stormwind, and I counted 4 guys on the new blizzard store mount come fly up to me and get a look. I feel like I overshadowed their brought mount so easily

Fool for Love done.

Jumped in an in progress Arathi Basin, Alliance was getting camped or so it seemed. Tried to help push out with some baddies, got a few kills before dieing. Then I just snuck around to get my achievement in the center. Had some follow me but it didn't end in their favor. I was alive with >10k HP somehow. Someone solo charged in (there were 3-4 people there with me) to try and finish me off. They failed and died. I barely live through dots and used my Racial heal just to survive. Another person, maybe the same guy, charged in again to try and finish me off. Fails again. I'm hanging on with like 1K HP each time. It might have happened once more, but I forget.

Just thought it was rather amusing. I guess I am a decent PVP spec, but I have absolutely no PVP gear. Forgot to check the board at the end to see my stats for late entry and everything, oh well.

We have a hunter with heroic vial in our guild, he bitches hunters suck at all aspects of pvp and can't beat anything.
