Got a Blue Drake and White Hawkstrider today

Went from doing 174k on first boss of ToT to 197k. With zero gear changes. Affliction, i am back

First Dark Animus kill with the guild. Did 20% of the damage due to people not knowing what to do, and me just pushing through. XD still, good time had by all (that lived). Started working on Iron Qon, and we'll see him and hopefully the twins dead when we start back up next week.

If you can get Qon down before with ~20 minutes left in the raid week(I'd even say extend the night a little bit, if people can afford to) you've got plenty of time to get Twins down. Congrats on Animus though! Qon is really the last "difficult" boss in the raid, and even then, he's not really.

We had him in 3rd phase with everyone still up... then he dismounted and jumped through the portal and reset, and we never got him that far down again.

Yeah, most of our learning attempts fell apart before the 3rd phase, mostly because of people dying to tornadoes. If you can make it through phase 3 in decent shape you should have a kill. We got our first kill the very first time we made it to the final phase, and that was with 2 DPS dead? Something silly.

we pugged a heal and a dps, both priests. The holy priest was great, but that fucking shadow priest was god awful, and i hope all the bad things in life happen to him, and only him. His total dps was below our tanks. We're already carrying one dps, dont have room for 2. -_-

mother fuckin DA down, only spent 2 raid nights an and hour one other night on him... not too terrible


and apparently our 2% wipe was like a 2hp wipe cuz he actually dies with enough hp left that he's still 2% lol

edit: oh and what's sad is we had about the same amount of wipes on him as horridon which we were stuck on for like a month+, it's just that DA wipes average like 30 seconds and horridon wipes average 7-10 minutes lol

After only like 8 runs, got both Warglaives on my DK :D So well happy about that, guild finally managed to get some attempts on Megaera after wiping like mad on Tortos again -.- but was only for the last 10 mins of the raid but i'm pretty hopeful that it'll go down pretty quick on sunday.

9/13 here. Only the terrible fights are left before Lei Shen: Durumu & Dark Animus

Durumu is a pain in the ass because we don't have a paladin at all so we can't 1-tank it, and our other healer...just can't seem to hack it.

Where are you guys' troubles on durumu? For us it almost always came down to idiocy on life drain if it was a damage issue, or idiocy on stacking in colors if it was a healing issue.

Otherhealer doesn't cast PWS, particularly on the tank who has a 40% or more healing debuff, just stands there and spams PoH, leaving me to deal with parasite, tank healing, and beams. There's generally too much healing pressure between chromatic beams and life drain in beams #2 and it falls apart there just thanks to the chaos.

One of these days we'll get a sweet fog layout and brute-force it.

yeah, aside from that only thing I can think of is maybe in 2nd fog people are worrying about their stacks too much and not getting in fog fast enough?

it's much easier to deal with healing 1 person that has a bunch of stacks than having people running around trying to find a new color while everyone takes a bunch of damage

If you have shamans you can grounding the parasite

Yeah, people that are super quick can bubble/deterrence/etc. it as well if it starts on them, we just found that out last week tho lol.

Can do it to life drain as well.

edit: actually has to be like feign death/vanish/invis (but still super fast) to work for life drain
