Enjoy your JC nerf too
Orbital Devastation, Heartbreaker, Dwarfageddon, Who Needs Bloodlust?, Crazy Cat Lady, Disarmed, I Could Say That This Cache Was Rare and Con-speed-atory done tonight in ten man while making record time. Got our Blood DK her ArP trinket from Thorim hard mode too (which is a joke now he can't do LOLIKILLYOU Unbalancing Strike while his swing timer is reset).
Going for General Vezax hard mode Tuesday. For those that have done it, I've got some questions:
- Does it need to be tanked?
- Is it possible to heal the entire fight with just two healers (including a Retribution Judgement of Light and Vampiric Embrace)?
- What does it look like?
Yeah lol, day after I level it they do it right up the shit box. None to fucking impressed. If they add a 17+ agi gem at any point I'm going to be leveling BS.
I just google'd "wow jewelcrafting guide" and threw money at it. Friend gave me a few hundred uncut outland gems that helped a fair bit to.
Haven't done it but there's a video of the fight floating around, I think. WoR had it.
Yes it needs to be tanked.
I don't know the healing requirement
It looks like a huge Water Elemental in Shadow form.

Have fun straight tanking the enrages + the animus.
So I guess JC ain't worth leveling anymore is it? That sucks owell least I didn't get past 50 with it.
We just got this on weds.
- He can be tanked by the tank who is on vezax, they combined don't hit as hard as it seems but it is the most healing intensive part of the encounter. During the transition of the saronite clouds converging into the animus, vezax generally will use his enrage ability and -sometimes- he will cancel it out but don't rely on it. You need to still kite him during it and a hunter MDs the add onto the tank. Don't have dps on the animus until they're both stationary.
- He doesn't do the searing flames while the animus is up so have your DPS go balls out and save bloodlust for him. I highly recommend doing the kite while enrage method because it will save the healers a lot of mana they will need. (our 34k buffed pally, myself at 27k and a priest at about 25k were pretty close to oom at the end)
- The animus does that aoe and it's really not that bad if you can manage to kill him by the 30th or so stacked debuff.
- Resto shaman !!!!!!!!!!!RAPES!!!!!!!!!!! for this fight. They can stand in crashes and cast earth shield which will reduce the cost of it but when they stand out their shields will tick for their normal amount. This applies to all shields like sacred shield and power word: shield. It's probably the most efficient way of keeping mana. My healing was mostly earth shield and then riptide, about 97% of it was. We had a ret paladin judging light, a shadow priest with VE and underscore tossing out heals when he gets maelstrom procs. Between those and 2 healing streams I only used about 1k mana before the animus came out. When he does come out, healers should not hesitate to blow a lot of mana to keep people alive, but you need about 10k or so to be safe and finish him off. We got Vezax to around 30% before the animus came out.
- Also, DBM bugs out and doesn't mark people for mark of faceless and void crashes during the animus stage so keep that in mind and call them out. Crashes can 1-shot anyone during animus phases.
It's still the one of the best professions to have until the next major patch and even then it'll probably be good still, it's just a nerf to getting all the socket bonuses and meta requirements on your gear, you're still going to be able to use the nice gems. From a tank perspective it's not bad at all, I can easily just do 12stam/mitigation to fill red and 12stam/hit to fill my yellow.
The people it really sucks for are the DPS classes who Blizzard keeps giving blue slots on all their gear.
At any rate, I'm sure they will bring the JC unique gems into line once epic gems are added too, so it's really not a big deal at all it's just not the ultimate profession anymore.
Thorim and Hodir hard modes on 10man done, one shotted both of them.
10 man 3-knocks last night, so now just Firefighter left for Algalon, but we aren't trying that this week.
We'll probably sink time into 2-light Yogg, and possibly Vezax hard. Arv, do you know if RDruid can use Shadow Crashes to stack LB? I know we can use it for Rejuv and camp smend, which gives us 4x10k instant heals per minute at a cost of 2k/min, leaving plenty of mana for Nourish.
Wowhead says lifebloom works in it
Yea, testing now. It seems the periodic healing gets raped but the LB pop is full.
Got Aesir's Edge tonight among other things like: Chestplate of Vicious Potency and Furnace Stone.
Can't decide what to do with the Aesir's Edge though. I could easily throw my JC Stam gem in the Red slot and a Solid Sky in the blue for a cool +65 stamina in addition to the upgrade it provides from the Inevitable Defeat. I'd end up with +1k HP and be around 34.5k unbuffed.
While that would be nice, I am tempted to simply gem it with STR gems and use it for my DPS spec and just keep using the Inevitable Defeat for tanking.
spent 6 hours in 25 man naxx and didnt clear a single wing. Yay?
Seriously, azuremyst is the backwater fuckhole of wow servers.
Full cleared naxx25 last night in a single run :D. 1 shotted KT too. Had 1 (maybe 2?) wipe on Sapph and that was it. Very smooth run, especially since it was my first time :O.
I bought Lich King.
Achievement!
I love the smell of saronite in the morning~
