    Blue screen after exiting Warhammmer

I recently added memory to my system in hopes of actually getting WAR to play- and it seems to have helped for the most part.

However, when I exit the game, it crashes to blue screen, forcing me to restart via holding the power button down.

Could this be memory/system related, or is a game issue?

What's the error code on the blue screen?

There is no message- it just goes blue. Sometimes the "auto-adjust" message that pops up on start up shows, but most of the time its just a blank blue screen.

It's likely a video card issue then. Uninstall your video card drivers, reboot, and reinstall them and see if that fixes your problem.

Also recommend running a driver cleaning program after you uninstall the drivers.

NFR is also very good; http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3233.html

If a driver reinstall doesn't work, post back with the full spec of your machine please

Well, I thought the problem might have been fixed- i was able to exit the game once without a crash after removing old drivers, running that NFR, and reinstalling drivers. But last night I stayed logged into the game & went afk to watch the world series, and came back to the blue screen again. I believe the game /logout vs. /shutdown when afk, so appearently its not just exiting the game that can cause this.

My system is old now- 2.8 ghz intel hyper thread, radeon 9800, and 2.5 gigs of ram after recently installing 2 gigs (had 1 gig with 4 x256 sticks, now have 2 x 1gig & 2x .256). Its the second time i've changed our ram, and I think i did it properly. I'll try other remedies assuming they aren't to tricky- though I've basically decided a new pc is the best solution- ideally hoping for a price drop after the new intel chips come out.

I've looked at a few different tiers of rigs-
    from something like this http://www.maximumpc.com/article/fea...ass?page=0%2C1
or the more budget friendly http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/budget_pc.

Of course, since I'm not really confident in building my own rig, especially considering my in-ability to handle problems like the one above, i found myself turning to a build-your-own shop like IBUYPOWER.

$1325 includes shipping- based off the Maximum PC $800 budget, with some upgrades

I'll really only be playing Warhammer, maybe that newly announced KOTR MMO when its released, some home video/pictures (kid on the way).. so I probably don't need all that, but my last pc lasted me 5 years- so even the pricier model would cost me less than a dollar a day if it lasts the same duration.

Thoughts/input on new options appreciated- as well as any temporary fixes for the old pc.

Well its something I've always wanted to try, but the most experience I've had is swapping out RAM. I've read several guides on building them, and it seems very doable. I just worry that if everything doesn't work out of the gate, my troubleshooting knowledge is very limited. I did recently reformat, so installing an OS & installing/updating drivers isn't beyond my capabilities.

I look at newegg & play around all the time though- and put this together:

    Item #: N82E16800995058
    -$29.99 Combo
    $349.98
    $319.99

    Grand Total:$1,471.89

So, under $1500, with some nicer components- bigger hdd, faster memory than the more expensive ibuypower model. Along with those pluses, i'd have the satisfaction of building my own pc for the first time. On the other hand, $300 or so to have someone build it for me & include a 3 year warranty doesn't seem too bad.
