your eyeballing is bad doesn't apply to here. Eyeballing generally means misled by eye popping numbers. So let's say someone did a few guillotines in bird camp for 1100, and the person then say, yea, I average 1100 on bird camp, misguided by his high end numbers without taking note of the one where he did 700, that's called eyeballing.
In this case, your eye candy would be triple attack. Most ppl take note of triple attack when it procs, cuz why? cuz it is eye popping. So it would be hard to underestimate TA from eyeballing cuz your brain is used to remembering the rare occurance. In fact, alot of ppl think they DA alot more than 5% after they first get brutal proves you such point.
So plz, don't try to act smart. Like I said, go put on algol and homam and put on just brutal earring without pole strap and go test. You will not see more TA than DA.
Also, don't use thf to test this. For one, there are rumor that Homam body adds 25% to your TA, so a maxed merit thf would see a 2.5% increase, which is what we thought it is, and when you don't have any TA trait you get a fixed 1%. The best test is to go with either a Drk or a Drg and take off any DA or TA equips, and also sub something like a mage job so you don't zenshin and DA, and go to campaign and hit fortification. I have done that as drg maybe 10 times, and there were at least 8 times where I don't see a single TA while just hitting the wall mindlessly.
I've always wondered; is the TA% higher with higher Accu%?
Shouldn't be. Drg with homam body probably has the highest acc of all jobs, combining 2hand weapon, gear options, and its accuracy trait, and yet I don't experience anything higher than 1% TA from wearing homam body.
Since nobody else seems to have done it, I went out and tested this myself, as BLU with no DA, and the results are quite disappointing: 32/2936, or 1.09%, so it's probably 1%. I was really hoping it would be 2.5% as was thought previously ._.
So my eyeball wasn't so bad after all![]()
Not doubting your data, but could you list all factors (equipment, mob etc) so we can definitively see? That kinda sucks...
BLU/NIN, 2x maple wands/lamiabane/walahra turban/loquacious/suppa/homam corazza/dusk gloves/ulthalam's ring/swift belt/dusk feet, targets were PLD/WAR/RNG orcs and WAR/BST gigas in Misareaux Coast.
Fucking sucks, all those years thinking it was 2.5%![]()
Thanks a lot for testing, Nadie; very good to know although not the nicest thing ever
Could a mod perhaps the thread title to reflect its actual proc rate? BGwiki may also need editting.
on a related note i went to test brutal DA
whm/blm haste gear, brutal, and Ibushi Shinai hitting hpemde in sea for 0
I just left the computer for a few hours
I am not sure of the precision on this parser function but 5-6% is alot of error
here is my parse info

wait wut...
ok so i think K-parser has a problem with low delay weapons and the extra attack feature
i did the same test with a pitch fork with 4% haste and got the below results

Bumping this with good reason: Homam Corazza looks to be borked.
Quoting Lobivopis from the alla thief forums:
Control 1:
Melee Rounds: 1134
Triple procs:125
Triple attack proc rate: 11.07%
Control 2:
Melee Rounds: 1028
Triple procs:99
Triple attack proc rate: 9.77%
Triple attack rate without Corazza: 10.36%
Corazza test 1:
Melee Rounds: 946
Triple procs:86
Triple attack proc rate: 9.13%
Corazza test 2:
Melee Rounds: 976
Triple procs:108
Triple attack proc rate: 11.10
Triple attack rate with Corazza 10.09%?
wtf? Is the homam corazza bugged and SE never noticed? It seems either a. there's a 10% cap on triple attack, b. Homam Corazza is broken, or c. Thief really doesn't start out with 5%TA and the control needs more testing.8k swings, 10.07% triple attack.
I don't see this changing in the next 2k
Thread quoted from is here. If anybody else wants to help by doing any more testing on thief for control or corazza please go ahead. ~.~
How about they test it with something other than a job that has Triple Attack as a natural trait.
The fact that theres a 2% difference between each set of data with the same setup means that you have no way of measuring the 1-2.5% variation due to the Corazza. The sample size just isn't large enough to reduce the error in the innate TA.
You can't just average 2 inaccurate results and expect to get a true value...
Gotta love Allah
alla reports need police investigation before you can deem it true.
