It's so frustrating to see them believe some physics but not others. They believe that the earth is accelerating "upwards" at 9.81 m/s^2. But when someone poses the "Wouldn't be we going faster than light speed" question, they tell them it's impossible because of Einstein's relativity. Seriously...do they understand what acceleration means?

Do they even think about what happens when you are constantly moving at light speed (or any speed rather)? I wonder if they believe the earth stops suddenly for a brief period of time and then undergoes upward acceleration again...shit I hope they aren't reading this.

Therefore it's impossible to be going at the speed of light, only people tracking the speed from outside the earth would see it as going faster than the speed of light.

There is more proof for evolution than that the earth is round and people still think the world was created in 6 days. People will believe whatever they want.

As for the CMBR -- the exact way in which this information affects the notion of absolute reference frame is not clear to me. For example, what happens if I enclose my ship in a sphere that blocks this radiation? Then, whenever I measure this radiation, I find the spectrum to be the same in all directions.
