I didn't really like the first one very much because it seemed too much like a giant conspiracy theory and paranoid bullshit, but this second one is much more clear and concise and skips a lot of the religious mumbo jumbo.

This one just gets right to the point of our fucked up society and is fairly insightful.

Oh, and they proved the earth is round.

It's funny because the first 95% of the movie is just basically stating facts and appealing to emotion to try to build some credibility. The whole point of the movie is mostly the last 5%, which comes out of fuckin left field and honestly made me laugh loudly for the entirety of the ending.

And I agree, the stuff about religion and how they're related was way more interesting than the rest of it

Yes it was, but it made it really difficult to tie it into there ultimate point, where as this movie does it fairly concisely. As for the accuracy of the content, I have no comments as I have not personally researched anything about it.

Yeah... it's a bit like surprise butt seckz. I don't follow the series much, but someone showed me the original. I stumbled upon it thinking it was old already, and just watched it anyway. I find this one interesting, too.

Think I linked it once when someone asked about currency and what was going on when the ongoing economic crisis happened, but a thread hadn't been made for this.

It seems that the only legitimate conspiracy theory for Beckwin, is a religious conspiracy theory.

The religious stuff I was referring to was the (well-known) parallels among creation stories and whatnot.

If anything, actual religious beliefs are closer to conspiracy theories than religious/anthropology studies.
