In desperate need of a HQ videogame system selector.

Okay, so I have too many systems and have limited amount of connections on my hdtv. I'm seriously tired of changing the cables everytime I, or someone wants to use a different system.

Can anyone rec any high quality video game system selector? I know pelican made one awhile back but I heard really shitty reviews about it in terms of quality of image and lifetime.

The only thing I can find online that looks of high quality is the Psyclone game selector.

Any opinions? I know I'm not the only one out there with like 10 systems.

It depends on what you want to spend. In terms of quality you'd be better off buying higher-quality switchers for different input types(monoprice has a lot) but that'd be more expensive.

Just googling that device I saw a lot of people complain about it so dunno about it's quality level.

I could careless about price, I'm just not savvy in A/V equip so the first thing on google I've found are the pelican and psyclone ones lol.

Just get an AV switcher and you should be fine. Also, what kind of connections are we talking here; composite, component, or HDMI? If it's anything less than component I really wouldn't worry and just buy some crappy MadCatz switcher for $20.

I'm just trying to think of what you would have for component/HDMI needs: PS2, Wii, and maybe an old 360 on component, and then PS3 and a BluRay/HDDVD on HDMI?

Being that HDMI is digital and $15 HDMI cables work as well as $150 ones, I can't imagine needing a terribly expensive HDMI switch. However, a good component switcher is expensive, easily over $200 and high-quality ones going for near a thousand, especially if you're needing to use optical audio.

Hmm. I need a few questions answered to make a better response.

• How many of each type of input you need does your current TV have?
• How many devices are you attempting to use, sorted by connection.
• Do you already have an A/V Receiver unit, even if it's only for sound to your speakers? (This relates mostly to optical audio)
• Do you have a home theatre audio system or a Home Theatre in a Box setup?
