I love throwing people off of the building on No Mercy.. pisses the entire team off. I really want them to put Blood Harvest and Dead Air on Versus soon. Both would be insanely fun.

I play on the xbox 360 so just out of curiosity does the server and game system on the pc work similar to the 360 where you don't see a server list and just click join? Or can you seek out specific servers? My only gripe with the 360 version is how they handle the servers and the games makes it really hard to find a good game to join.
Also I want more maps!
Has a reason ever been given for only including 2/4 campaigns in multiplayer? Playing the same two is disappointing given how repetitive things can already feel.
I personally love No Mercy, but I haven't run into the douchebags yet. I've only seen it done ONCE... I was playing with two friends, and the douchebag was our fourth. He moved the generator in front of the elevator... we promptly moved it away and booted him from the team.
Death Toll, yeah my fault, lawl. But with Dead Air I can't see the survivor team doing too well on the last part by the gas truck. Such a wide space. Smoker would be fucking brutal at that part.
It's possible to do some damage with Smoker on the finale, but it's fucking tough to get anything more than a few whacks in on them. All in all it's a great game, but Valve kind of dropped the ball with the glaring omissions from multiplayer. I mean come on, a game that only has four total scenarios and you only include two on multiplayer? Watch them charge for the other two scenarios lol.
You can make your own levels in L4D too.
Anyone on here want to try for Untouchables on 360? It's the only achievement I need still (well 47k/53k on Zombie Genocidest, but that will come). I was thinking Blood Harvest in the barn on Easy would be pretty simple; the times I've held out there we've taken very little damage. Or we could always abuse the Jesus Room in No Mercy. >.>;
Should I buy this? I have a 10$ reserve at gamestop I havent used yet on fallout3, never picked it up... bunch of friends play it on PC some when we get bored of wow...
How fun is it? I'd be getting for pc. Buying it on Steam really is tempting.
Its a lot of fun if you have some good friends. I honestly prefer Campaign over Versus, but both are a lot of fun. I don't know if it was worth the $50 I paid at launch, but its given me a great deal of playtime out of it.
Get it Boyiee~
I base value off of genre and hour/cost.
My default is 40hours/$50 for pretty much anything that isn't an RPG.
I've gotten my 40 hours easily. Not to mention that the quality of those hours was really fucking fantastic, but that might be skewed because a lot of those hours were LAN in the same room with a few other guys when it first came out and we were having a blast.
As much as I enjoy L4D, I would say buy Fallout 3. They are both great games, but Fallout 3 has so much replay value in it, it's almost disgusting.
It's not as RPG as you might think. Yeah you level up, you have stats, there's quests and all, but overall it's mostly just a shitty FPS (if you play in the correct setting).
Though there are some mods that turn it completely into a turn based RPG. I don't use it myself so I don't really know how it works, but it just makes you go into vats and you can only fight from there or something.
L4D is just a mindless shoot 'em up on Campaign mode. But Versus requires a lot of teamwork to be halfway decent. And of course you'll get the occasional newbie Survivor team.. which is always LOADS of fun if you're Infected. ;3
I didn't like oblivion either, but I got 70-80 hours into FO3; it's a very enjoyable game if you let yourself get immersed in it. It tends to get dull once you get the better weapons/perks that high levels bring, as even on very hard difficulty nothing can really kill you at that point.
If you do buy it, don't just do the main quests; go exploring. The main questline itself isn't very lengthy.
