I found one. I started as an infected on death toll, we promptly raped their team, they prompted raped us, the teams /seemed/ balanced. In act two, someone on my team got smoker and was getting killed over and over, eventually rage-quit, then it all fell apart, someone else raage-quit, and that left two computers, myself, and our 4th that kinda had a clue.

So yeah, there's a legit reason to rage-quit, when your team abandons you. >

Yeah I have to agree on the mic thing. This game is so much more fun when your whole team has the ability to scream "FUCKING HELP ME A SMOKER GOT ME AND I CAN HEAR A HUNTER!".

I still haven't brought myself to buy this game

I want to....but everytime I watch vids it seems like it is fun for 4 hours then will never be played again. You are slowly changing my mind.....

You have to bind it to a key (or get/make a script to do so). Did it ages ago but iirc it's:

Code:

bind "X" "vocalize PlayerDeath"

Can replace x with any key and can probably find a list of voice commands easily with Google to replace the PlayerDeath with.

Sounds about right for co-op, atleast it was for me. But Versus can last you plenty of time, though I hate playing as the survivors. Infected is just one big grief-fest, it's glorious.

Yeah, I absolutely hate playing as the survivors, especially when I get a team that just plain sucks ass, or more importantly has no mics. It's more tolerable on the infected because you can still sort of get away by doing your own shit and not much communication, it's more watching how the survivors move and whether they seem like they're communicating or not.

Same on the hate playing survivor thing. After playing infected it seems so damn boring, lol. But then sometimes you'll get a team that's fun as Survivor and Infected, /shrug.

The only time I hate playing Survivor in VS is when people on your team rush blindly. God damn, rushing only works between certain points, not the whole map through. Someone will get raped.

Rushing works perfectly well with 4 solid people. In fact it's a damn good strategy if you can get on a smart team.

If you have friends that already play this, then why not join them all the time? L4D is waaay better if you're actually playing with people you know. Whether you're winning or not, it's still a lot more fun than joining random pub servers with people you don't know.

I'm not saying rushing doesn't work, I'm just saying you must do it wisely. And if you're playing versus chances are there's someone who doesn't know what wise rushing means.
