Does anybody have any ideas where to hold up in Dead Air on expert? It's one of the last ones my group needs, and despite a few of trial runs we haven't really found anyplace solid other than the spawn room, but that place seems flakey at best since they can flood in from all sides.
On Dead Air, if you're at the fuel truck and you look towards the airport building, there's a closet there. It's a double door closet though so you need two people up front meleeing.
i thought dead air was easy on expert with that closet door thing.
i''ve only done 2/4 on expert. need death toll and blood harvest for achievement woop.
I like the corner which is close to the closet personally, the only time I've had an issue was when a horde spawned from behind us and climbed the fence to attack us, but even then only one of us got incapped.

Infected bosses can barely touch you there too, smokers and boomers are ineffective, the occasional hunter gets through but when tank spawns you can hang back and wait for him to make his way to you. Then you just burn him and kite him around the plane you escape from.
I've used the closet method but I prefer using the corner. Boomers can break the doors and if someone gets dragged out, others come out to save him/her and you end up getting overwhelmed.
Blood Harvest was by far the worst finale on expert for me. We died more just trying to get to the finale (2 forced hordes ftl) then it took us times to actually beat it. Stay in the closet upstairs once you make it, as soon as the tank comes out wait on the window until you can see it, shoot it a bit with assault rifles if you have them, once it climbs up, everyone jump off the roof and run it in circles around the house. Usually you can get through this part with only one person dying. After the tanks down, rush in and grab health if you need it, and if you have time try to get back upstairs. If not, stay in the closet downstairs and pray that you can get out without being blindsided by the second tank. Molotovs are pretty sparse in this level, so if you have one, it's probably best to save it for the second tank and scatter so only one person gets taken down before he auto-dies.
Intense fucking level, but was worth it for the achievement. Only 2 more to go.
Behind the plane on dead air, there's the runway it takes off on. Nothing spawns behind you, so you can put your back against it and not worry. I think only smokers came back there along with normal zombies. Tanks come from a mile away so they're really easy to spot. Just have everyone looking in all directions and you'll never get touched.
Agreed. The closet seems to be your best bet as long as you're not playing with retards. We usually have two auto shotgunners crouched down in front meleeing and spraying while the two others just pick off the ones more of a distance away. Your only real concern is when the tank comes, you need to hightail it out of the room unless you trust your team to put him down before he gets to you. Which is possible, but you don't have a lot of time to fuck around.
The DLC is free for 360 and PC. whoooooooo!
Yes source please.
I am looking forward to the update a lot. I am really tired of dealing with the stupid exploits of moving shit to block the path. Specially when I say something about it and get kicked from the game.
Found it: http://store.steampowered.com/news/2234/
I've been in one game where the survivors during the sewer level sent me a message saying "we can sit here all day in this room defending ourselves." One person on my team had managed to put the dumpster all the way down into the sewer completely blocking the ladder, so I had replied to him that I was the smoker, I'll move it, don't shoot me, etc., etc.. I moved the stuff, and kept the person from doing the same shit in the elevator. The person moving the stuff was eventually booted.
The same day a little later, this pre-pubescent ten year old did the thing at the elevator and one of the passages through that same level. My team, all pretty cool guys really, asked who did it, little toddler kid exclaimed pretty happily that he did it seemingly expecting praise. Booted his ass.
I'm just glad the tolerance for that shit is slimming down, and I'll be glad when it can't happen. I just hope that you can still hit shit around with the tank to hit the survivors, that actually makes sense.
And fuck yeah free DLC.
I know a lot of people don't realize this only because it took me quite awhile but if you are on even ground with the obstruction and you have a pipe bomb, you can just move the shit yourself and fuck over the zombie team.
Yeah I almost always save pipe bombs now for the fork lift and the generator but this method does not work for the dumpster over the sewer.
I like it when everyone agrees it is retarded and kicks the offending person. I just get frustrated when I get kicked because I tell someone to not do it.
I'm almost glad I'm out of the loop and play versus almost exclusively with friends, because that sounds beyond stupid. It's not like you even get anything out of cheating other than winning(?) a match that has no meaning <_<
