i'm sure some of you already know about this, but for those who don't:

start a single player campaign

once the game starts and you get control of your character:
1. in the console, type sv_cheats 1
2. ent_fire !self setteam 3
3. director_force_versus_start 1
4. z_spawn x
x = smoker, tank, boomer, hunter

Another story.

This is subway level on expert... at the generator.

So we get there, but we had a few bad run-ins on the way. How bad? Well everyone but one person is at 1 health and that one person is at around 30. The other two people use the pills, so I am the only one at 1 health. We pull the switch and set up walls of fire. I am covering the hole in the back and doing a fairly decent job. However, one by one my teammates all fall. I am the only one left and there are about 5 zombies left and all I have left is a pistol. Through lots of punching and carefully aimed headshots I am able to finish off the last of the horde.

At this point I am moving really slowly and my screen is all whited out and stuff. I am not sure what to do, so I just start making my way to the exit. Just before I can, my allies respawn and need to be rescued. I am thinking, okay, I'll go do that. Just as I turn around, a fucking Boomer jumps down. I kill him... but not before he is able to puke on me. Me with one health and no special weapons against a horde. Well, it ended pretty quickly.

I finally got around to playing it online today and I'm pretty happy with it. Expert difficulty is the only mode I can enjoy, everything else feels too easy. Vs mode ought to be interesting because if the people playing the infected bosses work as a team they'll be close to unstoppable.

Same. Although my computer sucks so it probably won't even load at all on my computer but I at least want the chance to possibly play.

Don't quote me on this as I got it from an unverified source, but I've been told the public demo goes up today on Steam and Live Marketplace at 7am PST.

Had to install it from Left 4 Dead Demo on Steam for it to work, the steam browser isn't wanting to let me install it.

I'm stoked for this, but I'm debating hold out on the demo and just waiting for the full thing, especially since I just got CoD:W@W.

All the comments are making it that much harder to wait though >_>.

So, I played one co-op game then it's not letting me go back to do another one. It keeps saying I'm logged out, but I know I'm logged in. Lol

If you start and you only have 3 people wanting to play, do you have to get a 4th or will the last person just be a CPU?

CPUs always take over for absent players, basically you can't play with less than 4 survivors but you can play with less than 4 human players.
