Seriously, I really hope MS doesn't pull this shit with their next system. Patching should take extra months. Period. And on the same note, if a dev wants to "give DLC away", let them. It's fucking lame.
I'm guessing that they will probably slap a cheap ass price on the dlc, like 100 credits or something like that. Considering Valve has gone on record saying they are against charging people to begin with, but let's face it, no way Xbox is going to let them post a fuck load of dlc for free.
MS is notorious for either making games and DLC exclusive for the Xbox or at the least delaying them for other consoles (3 months+). It's a standard MS practice and the very reason I refuse to buy a Xbox.
Hmm. If you refuse to buy an Xbox then we weren't playing CoD together. I'm on the 360. Unless the servers are all integrated, which is possible. But I'll be damned if I know.
Curse your tongue! I shall slaughter you when integration happens!!!![]()
My boss and I are having an argument about whether or not any of the four expert campaigns can be beaten by virtue of an all out sprint similar to how you can clear them in under 20min on easy. I say yes they can be cleared in under 30min, he said you couldn't clear them in that fashion in under an hour (althought since I said 30 he said I couldn't do it in 45min). Has anyone tried to do a sprinted expert mode or cleared in under 45min?
Are we talking the entire scenario or just one part of it? I think it would be doable if you had people you were familiar with playing, all obviously with headsets. You would basically have to move from the second you could and even then it would be a stretch.
I'm talking from Act1 all the way to the point of jumping in the rescue vehicle in under one hour. Easy and Expert are miles a part, but I personally did a 19min Dead Air the other night and I've done a 20min No Mercy. The fact that meleeing + auto shotgun is broken beyond belief if you can get yourself into a corner is the main reason I don't see why it can't be done. If you just sprint until the horde comes, find a corner, clean up and move on.
I thought that was generally how most expert campaigns were played? Anytime people started dicking around while exploring it was a sure-fire sign we'd end up failing later on.
I have no doubt you could go through quickly. But those are pretty steep time constraints imo. But certainly not impossible.
My group always moved somewhat quickly when we cleared, but never to the point of all out sprinting until you get the horde call and finding a place to huddle up then. Moving at a moderate pace and exploring isn't bad, especially if you're low on pills/bombs/no advanced weapons and you're group is capable enough to hold out.
I'm sure it's doable, but it'll take a lot more coordination than doing the same thing on easy or normal. A single person is not going to hold off a horde on expert in most cases, so boomers can really complicate things in certain places. Not a huge concern on no mercy considering it's largely close quarters but on a campaign like blood harvest you're looking at lots of open space with plenty of hiding places for the infected.
Essentially I think it comes down to how well your team pays attention and how close you stay to eachother. The same can be said of any style, but it's a lot harder when everyone is trying to move as fast as possible. EVERYONE needs to be on the ball, because anyone could be pounced or dragged at any time. If that happens to be the guy in back you're going to be slowed down a lot if you're not listening carefully.
I have finished multiple campaigns in about 50-55 minutes, and we walked through carefully and weren't in a rush. I am sure you can devise some strategy to easily get the time under 45. The obvious requirement is to have some excellent team players with you. I really doubt 30 minutes though.
I have done it on Blood Harvest expert under 45 min but not under 30. How we do this, is to play with 2 or 3 humans and 1 or 2 bots(depends how many human you have). The bots work really well at slowing up the hordes so you can keep moving. At the end to get through the tanks quickly we usually just hop onto the barn framework where the tank cant get you and just shoot him down. Kind of cheap but we wanted to win with speed not die to try again and waste more time.
the fuck?
mine are always an hour+ at least.
shitty teammates are shitty i guess.
ANYONE ON THAT WANTS TO PLAY IT'LL BE FUN!!!
