beat the hunter_training map today, took me awhile to figure out the technique you need to use to get around that 90degree corner. I still probably can't do it without at least 5-10 tries though lol. The rest wasn't too bad. I gotta try the hunter city one now lol.

Shoots an acidic substance, kind of like the boomer except it doesn't attact horde and it does a lot of damage the longer you stand in it (apparently).

Can anyone else see the Spitters making things like survival damn near impossible? especially since the general strategy for survival is everyone sit in different/same corners and cover each other...

They're playing in campaign mode which appears to be set to a higher difficulty level.

If it did do this much damage in survival, it would be entirely unfair considering the amount of time it takes to push your way out of a corner to move else where with a horde attacking you.

I would expect the damage to be the same or less than the smoker in every mode.

Main reason why survival is boring to me. Hoping that there's something new Valve is going to mention to make being nomadic the preferred means of staying alive. Main problem is always getting ambushed whenever you try to do so in L4D1.

I'm totally for eliminating corner camping. I'd be thrilled if the average survival time was lowered in favor of requiring actual coordination and strategy.

Missed this awhile back. That's only telling that there is a tank spawned, not if a stage actually contains a tank. There's no way of knowing what maps have tanks unless you know what kind of mods the server itself runs.

Speaking of mods and corner camping, there's some L4D servers that have anti-cornering mods that bump you out of them when you attempt to stay there.
