How do you find 8v8 matches?

I joined a community called KiFFERSTUEBCHEN. When I set it as my main group on the bottom right hand side an option for different servers will pop up. Some of the servers are like 12vs12 and others are like 8 player campaign.

If your looking for a decent campaign server the one I play on now is 8-12players for expert mode. Every match we get like three tanks and sometimes the admins will take off gravity so we can have fun. connect l4d1.forteam.ru:27078

why make more content for the original with L4D2 out? is there a really huge rift with the fanbase that keeps a lot of people playing 1 instead of 2?

L4D is still enjoyable regardless of L4D2's presence or not. 360 wise, it's still a very active game and I can only assume the same might be said for PC.

They had most of it done before L4D2 was announced so they just continued with L4D1. They are also working on doing a proper port over to L4D2 but have a quick version out now that's missing a few things.
This campaign is regarded as being better crafted than the official campaigns.

As for the communities of L4D1&2, they are dwindling out since Valve is sitting on their hands when it comes to properly balancing the game.

Comic author and artist Mike Oeming (Powers, Bulletproof Monk) has illustrated a 160-page webcomic about Valve Software's zombie survival video game Left 4 Dead. The first installment debuted this week, and a new one comes out every Tuesday until October 4.

You can read the first part of Left 4 Dead: The Sacrifice. This comic, which was penned by the game's designers, follows what happened to Francis, Louis, Zoey, and Bill (the survivors from the first Left 4 Dead game) after their rescue in the "Blood Harvest campaign." The next issue goes up goes up September 21.

Got it, thanks. Good ending, and the campaign is fun. I'd love to see a military base campaign, though.

I really enjoyed the map, but the whole time I played it in L4D1 I was looking for the best spitter/charger/jockey points. This will be so much more fun in 2 once it's done downloading. Also NM4. Oh god. :> :> :>

Do you need both L4D1 and L4D2 downloaded to play The Sacrifice? Since my campaign stops at The Passing.
