Out of two tries, I haven't been able to beat the first movie on normal with a group of guys. We made it to the rooftop both times, but never lived long enough to see the helicopter.

Great game, and man is it hard. We were playing on Advanced with 3 of us and were getting smashed... luckily we had our AI buddy whom we learned to love as "Bill bait." I shudder to think of how hard Expert is.
Does anyone have any tips for playing as the infected in versus? Obviously you want to try and seperate the survivors and ambush as much as possible... but if the survivors are smart and stick together, it can get really frustrating. In particular, when waiting for a helicopter to come in the final chapeter I found Smoker and Hunter to be 100% useless because the survivors were just all holed up in a corner covering each other and any attack was immediately met with death.
Boomer is really useful if they survivors know how to stick together. You just have to be good at hiding and ambushing with vomit when they get near. Even if you don't get them with vomit, if they're close enough they get owned when you die, and from that point on your other teammates and cause a bunch of mayhem since the survivors have to deal with a giant horde of zombies if you hit all of them with the slime/vomit.
Got the last level on fucking expert, fuck this game lol. EVERYTIME I am about to get to safe room, they send a boomer and a tank. Followed by a witch playing poker outside my saferoom. SO FUCKING PISSED, no game has made me swear more.

I lol'd.
Griefing the survivors as a Smoker when there's a Witch around is the best. Stand right on top of her and they're screwed; either you get to pull one of them directly into her or they try and shoot you and risk hitting her instead.
Left 4 Dead: EA "Interested" In PS3 Left 4 Dead
Not sure why Valve would ever agree to this after Orange Box. But I laughed.
Edit: Blah, disregard that, apparently that's old info and Valve have already denied it.
meh, I played this Demo with 4 actual people, the way it was meant to be played. And I gotta say, this game isn't that good at all. Sure the style of the game is cool and all but zombie movements are way too quick and erratic. This game has no strategy or skill needed. Just point and shoot like crazy and don't get puked on. . . . fun . . . .
wut.
Seriously though, what? This is how a zombie game is meant to be, would you rather them moving slower then fuck and be able to pretty much take a shit no them before they come near you? I wouldn't.
Takes more skill to avoid hitting your teammates then just "point and fire".
Beat all the campaigns on expert. Fucking awesome. I've never had frustration be so fun.
I'm not going to bash the guy because he simply doesn't like the game. I agree that it's not for everybody. And let's be honest, the game doesn't take a lot of strategy to play through as a survivor. Point and shoot. Playing as the infected is infinitely more challenging than playing as a survivor. I personally like the game a lot but I could see where someone might now like it because there are issues with it. But overall it's a fantastic game, at least to me.
Leb: "Burytheweak: FAST ZOMBIES MAKE THE GAME HARD BAWWWWWWWW"
Sorry that's not what I said . . I said the erratic movements of the Zombies who seem to come from every direction give the game a less than strategic feel. More like a shoot like crazy feel. Doesn't mean I think the game is hard, in fact this makes the game easy . . . But nice try.
Play the full game on Expert and tell then tell me it's easy. This makes CoD4 Veteran look like a joke. The demo cannot be used the judge the full game at all, all the difficulty levels were ramped up for the main game, and you need to have a set plan going into each level (especially the finale's) and even then you need to be able to improvise when something goes wrong if you even want to get close to beating them.
EDIT: just realized your the same guy bitching about GoW2 and praising Halo3 like it's the end all be all of Video games. Disregard my post, your just an idiot.
You're an idiot, there's really nothing else to be said.
OT: Does anyone have a strategy for beating Tanks on Expert? I play with 2 other guys and lolouis as our AI. Everytime a tank comes it might as well be game over because we can't find a solid way to take it down and 99% of the time we get boned with a tank without the advanced weapons too.
Tell whoever gets his attention to just run away, don't run backwards as it slows you down and you risk running into random things in the enviroment, simply turn and run and try to abuse some terrain to slow the Tank down. You're pretty much guaranteed to have atleast one person go down with a Tank, but if that one person does their best to survive as long as possible you usually have enough time to drop it before it takes out the lot of you.
Meleeing a Tank will also pull agro off a downed player who's getting the shit kicked out of him. Rather than letting your buddy die, you can melee the Tank in the back to get its attention and then run for the hills, whilst someone moves in to revive the downed player. You'll no doubt die yourself, but the same method can be used to get you back on your feet too.
And all the while, the Tank's taking gun damage.
Sono had a little fun with the original.
Also, nothing says "I love you, Mr Tank" like shotguns to the face.
EDIT: Speaking of Tanks, I was having some damn good fun as a Tank on Versus last night. Knocking people off of the roofs of Mercy Hospital is worth a couple of laughs. The one person who was owning me the most was sitting on top of the main building towards the stairs. I already punched around two of his people and was making my way to him when he backpedaled down the stairs. I caught up with him midway and punched him. The knockback was enough to throw him off the roof and to his death.
