NFL Week 9 - Talk about a great week gone bad...

Actually our third looked decent in preseason games, though vs. Tennessee is not really where I'd like to toss him in for his first regular season action.

The main thing I hope is Vanden Bosch will just sit on the bench this game and get over his groin injury, unless he is 100%. He was in for like the first 1-2 drives in the Packers game but took himself out. Once our front 4 is healthy again it will be nice. Even though we have the deepness to not really worry about it, when all 4 original starters our out there you can definitely tell a difference. I am just glad Tulloch is starting to get in the mix and help out the Linebacking core.

If anything this week lead me to believe the Titans are more vulnerable than I previously thought. In what I consider their first real challenge this season, they had a much harder time being the dominant force they have been.

I was just checking out the schedule for Miami. They play no one outside of their division who is over 3 wins in this season to this point. They've won 2/3 against division opponents and lost the one that they very well could have won.

They have a great chance of making 8-8 or better.

The main issue is that their hardest stretch of the season is coming up the next 4 weeks. I still think Rex has a good amount of talent but they have to take at least 2 or 3 of these next 4 games if they are going to be a contender this year, and the way the defense is playing there just isn't room for major fuckups.

There's the obvious heavy hitter next week, which is of course when Grossman will have the least amount of time to get in reps with the first team and get timing down as best as possible, then a 3 game span including Packers and Vikes which will pretty much decide the division winner. I still have some faith in Grossman but it's bad timing for the whole deal.

My friend does the ticker sometimes at ESPN. I wonder if he is typing that shit to torture me. He is a Giants fan, so he is loving life right now.
