Winning a 4 game tournament does not all of a sudden discredit everything Shockey did for the team, I'm sorry. Especially when they were just as close to losing the SB as they were to winning. But that's just my take.
You're ridiculous. So because they didn't blow out the undefeated Pats in the Superbowl my argument isn't credible?

And yes Derrick Ward, Mr. I'm only used on draw plays, is monumental to their success.

Only used on draw plays? Have you ever watched a Giants game before? The Giants use RBBC. Jacobs is the opener and Ward is the closer. He's got 400 yards on the season as a backup, and is averaging 6+ yards a carry. You're telling me that means nothing?

    Edit:

Look at the Cowboys running game post Felix Jones' injury. I guess he means nothing in that offense too, right?

And Jeremy Shockey is a fucking tight end. Rarely is a TE going to make or break an offense, much less an entire team. So the team got hott at the end of the season, that doesn't mean they're all of a sudden 'better' because of it. If that were true, why are players like TO, Chad Johnson, Randy Moss, etc even paid?

Have YOU watched a Giants game? I've seen every game this year. I live in NJ. I guarantee I know more about Giants then you do and I'm not even a fan. He's a great reciever, 3rd down back, draw play guy and garbage time extraordinaire.

I'll tell you right now that if Jacobs got Ward's share too, he'd be putting up monster numbers and they wouldnt even need Ward.

Uh? I guess you didn't watch any games last year when Ward got 600 yards in 8 games as a starter when Jacobs was injured? And Bradshaw gets all the garbage time carries btw.

Jacobs doesn't go all the way because of the way he plays. Much like Barber, he has a hard time carrying the work load by himself. Dude runs out of steam sometimes and needs to catch his breath. If he could handle more carries, I'm sure the Giants would give him the ball.

Pretty sure Marion Barber has played well with or without Jones.

Jacobs doesn't go all the way because Coughlin sucks ass. Jerome Bettis used to get more carries a game and he was huge and had asthma.

Just because Bettis did it, doesn't mean Jacobs can handle it, lol. I do believe Jacobs needs more carries though.

I don't. I'd rather he be kept fresh for the whole season. I think all three of the Giants RB's are solid, and play well when they are asked to. Jacobs is a bruiser, and quick for someone as big as he is. Ward is elusive, tough and has an amazing stiff arm. And Bradshaw is a quick/nimble mofo who can be surprisingly tough for people to bring down.

In all I think the three RB team is really good for the longevity of the season but it has it's benefits during each single game too.

I'm going to take a page from Tyche and say the Dolphins are for real. Not playoff for real, but a REAL threat to whip that ass on Sundays if you go in unprepared. Getting rid of that joke of a coach Cameron was a huge step in the right direction.

Not to mention that it was good to see Ginn show up for once in a ball game.

Not even I would of thought the Dolphins would be knocking off some of these teams at the beginning of the season. Albeit, a lot has to do with an underachieving chargers team (although I'll give them credit for the pats, as with the exception of last year, the fins always steal a pats game). They should certainly be happy with where they are and where they are going. Just need to find a young QB that is actually decent to let Chad groom him. Pennington has been fucking amazing so far. He may be the best FA pickup of any NFL team this season.

Orton is going to put up 350 yds / 3 TD, and the defense is probably going to score at least once. You have to be crazy to pick the Lions.

My upset pick is Houston over the Vikes.

I root for the Bengals, we established this a long time ago.

I just want Detroit to get a win before us and this is pretty much the only week it'll happen. Unless Minnesota plays like shit again during the next match up.

I hope the Bears beat the Lions; we need redemption for going 0-2 against them last season. That's just unacceptable.

Also I have Greg Olsen starting for my fantasy team, so hopefully he'll get a lot of passes coming his way.
