Good point about the splash damage.
Oh well, on my next character I plan to fully do out Energy Weapons and maybe some Big Guns for some evil, destructive fun.
I'm pretty sure Sniper Rifle falls under Small Gun, at least going off my % in VATS since I have 100 Small Guns but only 20ish Big Guns.
Ya Sniper is Small Arms.
Definately don't hand in the keys to Mister Crowley, go to Fort Constantine? and use the keys to unlock the doors under the CO's house. You'll get the Big Guns bobblehead and bunch of random stuff, as well as a Fatman and the uber Power Armor (though there is no armor to repair it with). The Sentry bots are pretty gay though.
Anyone else find the place with all the Chinese Military Ghouls? Near DC, like Mama's something food factory...was just kinda creepy.
Pulse Grenades demolish the Sentry Bots.
Mama Dolce's. I plan on going there tonight after Dynamis hoping they all carry chinese assault rifles. (I don't remember if they do or not from the first game going through there) I think I need 20 CARs to turn in at Paradise Falls.![]()
That a quest?
And speaking of Assault Rifles, does anyone else find them as useless in the later game as I do? If something is far away or I can get a sneak shot I just pull out my trusty .32 Hunting Rifle, and if I get closer I'll just used the Combat Shotgun or Sydney's special SMG. The ARs have terrible accuracy, even with 100 Small Guns, Commando and Sniper perks, at range and aren't even that great up close.
The Combat Shotgun is the most fun way to take down feral ghouls for me. Wait for them to close the distance and as they're winding up their melee strike just give them a face full of buckshot. The glowing ones take a few more, but usually you can plink them from a distance with the Sniper, Scoped .44, or .32 Rifle.
Yeah but 5.56 ammo is very plentiful
Catching slaves :O?
If your Karma is evil enough, the gate guard at Paradise falls will offer you the Mesmatron(sp) thing and give you a collar. He gives you 3 "VIPs" (Flak in rivet city, some bitch in Tenpenny Tower, and Red from Big Town) to go after and instructs you on how it all works. Collar a slave, come back for the reward, and he gives you a new collar.
Basically, zap the person and while they're off in la-la land you collar them and tell them to run to Paradise Falls or the collar will explode. It seems like you need to hide shortly after telling them to run off because they eventually come to their senses and yell for help while running.
At 250 caps a head, it's not too bad.
Man that sounds like fun.
I wish the mezzer worked more often. It's great seeing people spin in circles and then their heads popping
Just got myself a Dart Gun, oh lawd what fun.
It looks just like a wee crossbow made out of toy parts and if the Dart hits [anywhere] it instantly cripples the targets legs, great for those enemies that like to make charging attacks.
I've been trying to find some radscorpions for the gland that is used to build the dart gun. I seem to have sold off the ones I found in Hamilton's Hideaway. Does anyone know a place preferably where I can find some, not just in the wild?
Pretty much anywhere...I don't really think theres a den of them. Just run around for a while and I'm sure you'll find some.
Yeah, most things are more directed to conversation path rather then karma. My karma was as high as it could get and I still got the slave quest.
I think the small guns / big guns thing is a tad bit messed up. While I am extremely thankful that the Sniper Rifle, Hunting, Assault, and Shot Gun are all small guns I originally expected them to be Big because of having to use two hands. So my first time through I wasted points on Big Guns because I was mistaken on that.
