Hmm, guess I'll have to go out there and explore.

Yeah, they are EVERYWHERE. Last I played I had like a stack of 60+ in my house. The bigger ones drop 4 at a time and they tend to travel in groups.
Wow guess I've been having some bad luck, only thing I run into are moles and Super Mutants.
I personally farm most of them around vault 92 and the deathclaw town. You can sell their glands for so much. To bad caps are seemingly useless though outside of just wanting to make your house look better. I never once needed to buy anything.
I think I'm about done with this game for now. Went through it twice, now I guess I'll have to wait quite a few months to a year for new content.
There's a lot out by Raven Rock too. At least I can remember dropping right off the top of my head. I actually spent my last perk on the Explorer trait. So now everything on the map is marked for me. I may spend the time this weekend making a good map for everyone to use. But that's only if I'm motivated.
I think Radclaws are nocturnal, I always seem to run into way more of them at night-time.
Think I'm going to start my game over. I've only played for about 5 hours and I've done several side quests so bear with my lack of progress in the game. On the quest to detonate the nuke in Megaton, you are given the option of talking to Leo Stahl about Mentats. At one point you're directed to raid the desk in the water treatment plant. I did this and now the desk is empty but I guess I have a glitch and it is not clearing that step. My marker keeps telling me to check the desk.
Anyone else have this problem?
No reason to start over for that. There are many quests that do this sort of thing. I'm not sure what the reward is for this quest as I am just as far as you are with it but its probably not worth starting over for.
Really, the best way to approach this game the first time through is to just play it through to the best of your ability or how you would like. Then play it through again with all the tips/cheats/hints/walkthroughs to complete all the parts that you missed the first time. But to each their own.
I kind of wanted to go the good guy route this play through. Next play through, I vow to be one hell of a bastard.
Did the diplomatic solution at Tenpenny where you convince everyone to get along...came back later to find the Ghouls had killed everyone once they got inside anyway.
Really pissed me off.
I got karma bonus(good) for killing altair tenpenny and all of his guards, then I went and got the ghouls.
Fyi, no karma deductions if you kill them. Let's just say the stuck up bitches in Tenpenny were avenged, quite liberally(mini-nuked Roy and his beeyotch.) So feel free to take them out and swipe some loot out of there afterwards.Did the diplomatic solution at Tenpenny where you convince everyone to get along...came back later to find the Ghouls had killed everyone once they got inside anyway.

Really? Hmm, I'll have to go check out the tower since I took the diplomatic route as well. There were quite a few people I convinced to allow ghouls to stay because they genuinely thought it would be okay. I do like the Ghoul Mask I got from that quest. Since it's classed the same as eyeglasses you can wear it under other head armour and still get the 3 DR.
Oh, and I highly recommend doing the Oasis quest for the Poplar Hood. It's like Sneak+10 and AGI+1 with a half-decent DR and it looks pretty neat too. Putting Harold in the game was a great touch and a wonderful way to link F3 to the previous titles.
What doesn't make sense me though is that FC3 only takes place 30 years after FC2 right? That's some rapid growing, especially since he said he was rooted to the ground 20-30 years ago.
Fallout 3 takes place about 36 years after Fallout 2, but we have the lovely semi-cannonical plot black-hole that is Van Buren in between, so it's really hard to know exactly what happened and when. If you take Van Buren as canon, Harold had less than 25 years to leave California and get stuck, which makes time kinda tight if he's been rooted to the ground for at least 20 years. If it's not, then it's not completely impossible for him to have left California shortly after the events of Fallout 2 and make it to the Washington area in time to get stuck for 20-30 years.
Harold's conversation mentions that he's been stuck in the same place for over two decades. Um...radiation makes trees grow very quickly?
So I came back to Megaton after getting horribly beaten by Brutes, to restock on junk and found Lucas lying on the ground dead. I attempted to kill him a few times, but got my teeth kicked in. I wound up reloading another save, but do NPC's just up and die all of a sudden? because that's fucking hilarious.
This game is overwhelming, I attempt to do one quest and get sidetracked by 5 others.
