Damn, dunno what to get at 20 now, hardly seems worth it to just show them on the map.

I got the perk that auto replenishes AP upon exiting vats, cant recall the name but thus far it's made things incredibly easy.

Edit: Yeah, GRS is almost cheating... almost. Anything that you can kill in a single VATS round is basically dead meat. It's particularly broken with Action Boy and Ledoux's Hockey Mask, you have end up with something like 130 AP (with my 8 agility), which is enough to kill damn near anything in one turn with the correct weapon.
If you are playing on PC you can change the max lvl with "setgs iMaxCharacterLevel ###". Shouldn't do more than 35-39 though, as you will have all skills at 100 by that time, making you stuck at the skill point distribution screen with points left but nothing to spend them on.
Finished the storyline few days ago, kinda stupid <.> although that part with the giant robot was nice. Now i got that experimental MKV thing and first time firing it off, one of the bombs stuck on a light pole and killed me XD Dunno what else i could do though, maybe starting over and being the worst asshole posible, killing every nice person in sight.
Get the grim reaper perk at 20 or else leveling to 20 was a waste. That is by far the best imo. Just use the online map to see locations if you really feel you need to see them all.
Did anyone get the items off the traders for upgrading their supplies in Canterbury Commons? I had killed Doc Hoff and whoever the Weapon Dealer was before I came here so I didn't get a chance to upgrade them. The junk guy gave me 6 Stealth Boys and the Armour merchant gave me a unique helmet (Crow's Eyebot Helmet, DR 4 at about 80% CND, WG 10, VAL 13 and PER+1, pretty useless). Was just wondering what the weapon and food/med traders gave you for upgrading them. I did the 200 and 500 upgrades at the same time, so I dunno if you can get 2 rewards out of them for doing them seperately.
Also, is the only way to repair the custom weapons like the Shishkabob via NPC's and making more of them or can I use something like Combat Knifes for the Shishkabob similar to how you can repair Fawkes' Super Sledge, Sydney's Ultra SMG, etc etc?
I gave them all the money they needed for the upgrades but all I got was that crappy eyeball helmet.
About the Shishkabob upgrade, you have to use another one to repair it. I personally make 10 at a time and store my extras at the house. Whenever I need to upgrade it I go home. It is that way with all the created weapons, rock it launcher, dark gun, deahtclaw. and on and on. Might as well make 10-20 at a time.
On the PC if you're leveling past 20, just use console code, "CloseAllMenus". This way you can resume the game once all your skills are at 100.
You can get everything to 100 at level 20 anyway, no need to cheat it with console commands.
Thats what F3 was missing guilds. I actually liked the thief guild quests![]()
After watching the Yahtzee review I started wondering to myself. What the fuck am I doing or not doing to not have incredible amounts of money. I can't even afford a second schematic for the Shishkebab right now. Any tips? Only thing I can think of is just keep every scrap I find and sell it to an NPC.
Just make sure to keep your repair up so you can combine items for high cost, such as useless armor that sells for 300. Money adds up quick, my first time through I just kept my money cause I didn't find any use for it. Second time through I went through and bought EVERYTHING, house items, quest events, weapon schems and I still had 30k+.
Before you know it you'll have more money then you know what to do with. Also, giant scorpions like to come in groups. They drop 4 glands apiece and sell for decent money.
After a certain point in the game the amount of money you make will skyrocket. It is about the time you can wipe out an entire raider(rocket launchers and all) settlement without breaking a sweat. Also once you start doing the Outcasts quest you will never need medical supplies again, or ak ammo.
As soon as Enclave start popping up around the map due to the storyline you can make a shedload off of their plasma rifles. They respawn in the same place (opposite the library where you trade in Pre-War Books is one of them) every few days. If you wanted to you could just fast travel there, kill them and repair the rifles all together, sell, wait a few days and repeat to make infinite amounts of money. But yeah, money is extremely easy to come by and unless you buy absolutely every stimpack and piece of ammo from every store you'll likely have thousands upon thousands in no time.
Ok, I haven't been playing too much lately and I just now got to the storyline mission where you head to the Citadel. So maybe I can make some money off of the Enclave rifles like you said.
I would highly recommend making Repair one of your Tag skills regardless of how you want to play your game, and get it to 80 and above as soon as possible. Being able to keep everything you can repair at or near 100% is a huge help and can allow you to maximize profits by repairing loot on the go to cut down on carry weight.
Yeah, after I got small guns to 100 I started working on repair and have it around 85 or so.
How do you repair your items? I haven't been able to, ever.
In the weapon menu on your Pip Boy go to an item and look on the menu on the right and there should be a corresponding button for repair. It takes you to another menu and basically it explains itself.
