If you have the quest active there will be a quest marker pointing you toward the scribe you need to talk to.
That's a negative. My quest marker moves to a bridge near Megaton. It's fucking weird. Hence why I posted about it. If I have been playing this long and don't know what the quest marker is I would have killed my family then myself for being an idiot. This happened the first time I played through as well.

You don't have to exit, just go slow with the torque and take your hand off it as soon as you encounter resistance. This is the strategy I've used and I've got something like 50+ pins right now, opening every green lock I find and sometimes a red lock.

Yeah unbanned! Love fallout 3. quick question, how do you max stats w/out console cheating? i think what really makes this game fun is the feeling that the fallout world could definitely happen (- the mutants) but definitely the destruction of the world!

High int to start out, the comprehension perk, and books books books books books (bobbleheads too of course). I don't know if it's possible to max your SPECIAL by level 20 but it's definitely possible to max all of your skills by 20, possibly sooner if you really go full-tilt into it.

You can never max SPECIAL. But it's pretty easy to max all the skills. start with 9 INT, head to Rivet City as soon as you leave the vault to get the Bobblehead that'll put you up to 10. Get the perks that give you +2 from skill books and an extra 3 skill points every level and you'll max everything easily if you plan it out. The fact that there's 25 of each skill book in the world and you can get +50 to everything from just them should show you how easy it'd be, even without getting all 25 for each book.

I haven't touched Fallout since I couldn't find the scribe the last few days. So I've been playing Ace Combat 6 instead lol.

Are you talking about at the Citadel where you have to check the computer?

The computer part has already been done. The quest tag now comes up saying speak to Scribe Rothchild about Vault 87. It wouldn't bother me except it is the second time in a row this has occurred so I'm starting to get a bit pissy with it.

Ok, so after doing some research on the whole "Scribe Rothchild" thing, it appears that he's SUPPOSED to be in the lab, either in front of the robot, or downstairs. One person suggested waiting for Elder Lyons to appear and Rothchild talks to him. Others say that just using the wait command and making a round sometimes makes him appear. Or fast travelling somewhere else and coming back. He is apparently a bugged character and a lot of ppl have problems getting him, but he does appear eventually.

What other towns have traders other then rivet city and megaton? I kind of killed all the traders in both those places and I need the stuff to make deathclaw gauntlets.

Try Canterberry Commons (probably misspelled that), where the crazy ant lady and crazy robot guy are fighting.

The traders travel between all the towns, they aren't specific to any one town; if you killed all of them they won't appear at any town.

I didn't want to play evil my first time playing, but I did and still did not finish the game. Interesting things to note:

    Spoiler: show

    - in Paradise Falls there's a guy that you can keep on talking to because he thinks you're the worse guy in the world. if you keep talking to him he will give you items randomly. ammo/food/meds mostly.
    - able to have Clover and Jericho is cool, but I want to play a second time and want to be able to use Fawkes and Cross
    - being evil is awesome! esp when you turn into a slaver ;D

Since the thread is about spoilers you don't really have to use spoiler tags.

Anyway, yeah the evil path really gives you a lot of perks. Not only do you get unlimited ammo and money when evil, but you can have more followers as well. You can bring dogmeat and two humans with you at the same time all the time.

Overall though, I still like / prefer the good route more.

I will say this. Between Fawkes and Charon I can't decide which one is better. Charon is a fucking beast with his combat shotgun. He practically snipes people with that thing. But Fawkes and her gatling laser is pretty damn handy. I've left them both in some highly precarious positions and both lived. I left Charon fighting a Deathclaw and I left Fawkes fighting a Behemoth and both lived through it.

They announced details on the DLC, and god I hate Tyche for having a PS3 now I had to pick either the 360 or PS3 version, but I'm the only person of my friends that owns a 360, so choices were limited. My PC sucks, and now my PS3 won't get the DLC D:

PCGH - News: Fallout 3: Hi-res pictures of the HD texture pack

Fucking awesome. If you bought this for a console, just pirate the PC version because you otherwise will be missing out on a lot.

Or you could not be stupid and just buy the PC version of new games because they are going to be better than the console versions.

If you were talking about the game, sure. But downloading the PC version just for some better textures is just stupid. The comparison with the road actually looked better with the old textures imo.
