My computer is ancient, like 8 years old with no improvements since I bought it (no real free money to do so). That kinda leaves that door slammed shut for me

I meant the quality of mods. You already got as good at this out and it took a long time before Oblivion got its best mods.
So has anyone been messing with the new kit yet, and if so how is it.
Edit: Also their upping the lv cap and adding perks in the march DLC.
I can proceed no further in this direction? I beg to differ. I want to do some off-map exploring, and your invisible walls will not stop me, Bethesda!
(This is on an unmodded Fallout 3, just before I beat the game. No console commands were used. Long series of images, so I put it in spoiler tags.)
Spoiler: show
slight necro but Ding!: Fallout 3 Level Cap Getting Dialed Up To 30 raising lvl cap to 30 and removing ending along with the march DLC, sucks for us that got the ps3 version
is the DLC not coming to ps3 at all?
or just delayed?
Not coming at all. They made that well known before they released the games that PS3 would not get any new content.
Can't wait for new DLC! I really loved this game, so it's good to have some reasons to come back and play.
I overplayed it from the start. I think I'd have to wait at least a year before playing it again, regardless of how much DLC they add.
I will happily get the dlc when it's available. I loved playing the game, so anything else they add extra is just a bonus to me.
May be a stupid question... but, if I didn't really enjoy Oblivion (I mean, I did, but it's not something I can sit there and play for hours and hours), would it be a waste to buy this? I know they're not the same, but in a sense they are. I do enjoy the idea of post-apocalypse a lot more than medieval, too.
Its very much the same gameplay style.. I donno. I *love* RPG's, I love being able to customize, do whatever, advance my character, etc... I also really like FPS, so I thought Fallout3 would be a huge joygasm to me, but for some reason I could just not get into it. Maybe its because I work a lot and when I'm not working I tend to be on WoW, but I still find myself playing other games (GTA4, Deadspace, etc)... I just can't devote the time to Fallout that I think necessary to truly enjoy it. If I do play it I find myself doing a quest or two, then brutally murdering women in some town somewhere, and laying their mangled limbs around the house, shrug.
Ivaden look at it this way. Imagine Oblivion set in an environment where you have been(maybe?) in real life. Add on top of that all the quests that Oblivion has and all the non-linear things you can do instead of doing the story. Now add on top of that the useage of small firearms like an AK47 or a sawed off shotgun. Now imagine getting into a huge battle with people using gatling guns that fire frikkin laser beams instead of bullets as you launch a mini-nuke from your trusty nuclear rocket launcher.
In short, the developers are the same. The gameplay is the same. The quest format is the same. But now you have guns instead of a bone dagger.
In all honesty, I bought the game for PS3 at first. Liked it enough to want the DLC, went and traded in the PS3 version, got Last Remnant for like $8 after the trade and downloaded Fallout 3 from Steam.
The news about the ending really intrigues me though. Considering the progression of the last mission went from omg holy shit epic to wtf is this shit in record fashion.
Nuke tossing robot was pure win.
Yeah, he was pretty cool. I just enjoyed exploring and doing all the side quests etc. Nothing like going into Tenpenny Towers and literally launching a nuke down the hallways.
Mmmm. . . this was fun to make: YouTube - Fallout 3 - The Ultimate Demolition Experiment?
quick question:
im trying to get the "Shoot Him In the Head" quest from Mister Crowley (?) or something, hes a ghoul in Underworld.
I tried all of his dialog options and never once did he mention anything about the quest and now there are no more options for me to hit.
Is there any way to trigger this quest?
I'm going for all the trophies so was just wondering if i'll have to go through and play again.
