The alien blaster has been in the franchise since the very first game, typically you get it by randomly encountering a crashed alien ship in the wasteland (in the 3rd game it isn't random) so this new add-on will have something to do with that.

You digging it so far insane ? I bought my copy off steam back when they had a half off weekend. In which order should I buy the DLC ? This is the first single player game I played in a long time thats actually kept playing.
All the DLC is worth is. Adds little touches to the story or throws you into a nice (new) immersive environment.
Also Zeta is pretty fun so far.
Played through Mothership Zeta in one sitting. It was kinda cool seeing a different environment completely, but holy hell there was TOO MUCH FIGHTING. The end sequence was pretty win, though.
Same here. I think it took me six hours to get through the whole thing because I was trying to be meticulous and get all the Alien Recordings which I didn't do. Fair warning to others: you can't go back in 99% of the ship so get them all before you get to the bridge.
The ending was pretty kinda awkwardly hilarious for me since I missed all my shots on the Alien Captain, but Mysterious Stranger appeared and killed him for me, so it was kind of a "that's all?" moment.
Probably my favorite of the expansions despite it feeling long. I haven't played Point Lookout though, so I can't rate it to that.
I'll agree that there was way too much fighting, and the fact that you can't go around the entire ship after you beat the DLC is very, very annoying.
However, I do like the fact that the weapons you can get in the DLC are insanely powerful (hi2uDestabilizer).
I'd probably rate this DLC best for sheer rewards, and second best for story/immersive world (Point lookout being first imo).
This is a weird glitch that sometimes happens with Broken Steel, from what I have read / heard from friends its actually fairly common.
Mothership DLC has been kindah meh.... Its fun but it just isn't holding my interest like the rest of the game has, maybe its the amount of fighting? but Operation Anchorage was a ton of fighting too and I loved that
I missed a lot of things in Zeta so I'll probably have to reload and go through it again. And I left a bunch of items back on certain parts of the ship. And when you go in to destroy the death ray, did anyone else shoot Earth? I didn't really check last night to see if I blew up anything in the wasteland but I was hoping it destroyed something. And this is probably my favorite DLC so far but there is a lot of fighting. I loved hearing the people they had locked up, though. Destabilizer is amazing, MPLX (or whatever it is) Novasurge is an awesome sidearm, so is the Atomic Pulverizer. I missed the rest of it/kept the people alive so I don't have all of the weapons armor. I want the samurai stuff but I feel bad killing him...
Oh, and thanks for the reply on Fawkes. I'm happy with the glitch as I can play Very Hard and not have to worry about Fawkes getting decked in a few shots.
Was there anything down in the weapons room where you spawn tons of Albino Scorpions/Raiders? I didn't find a way down there, but I accidentally respawned it all twice and chose to kill them both times, but I wasn't sure if there was anything of importance down there.
I'll chime in with the way too much fighting, I guess. idk, Zeta was fun in it's own way, but it got boring pretty quick. I guess after Broken Steel for pumping up and the swamp for exploration and that "new" sense again, Zeta fell down because it came after those two.
Also, does shooting the earth actually do anything to the capitol wasteland? I saved and played with the death ray just for that purpose, but reloaded and continued without firing.
So I downloaded Mothership Zeta. I'm still at Point Lookout... But I have no idea how to leave. I figured I could talk to that red-headed hoe at the boat but she isn't doing shit. Is there something I'm missing?
Honestly, Dog Meat was just a pain in my ass when I had him. I always play on hard+ and he doesn't last long against super mutant overlords, or anything for that matter. And when I did Trouble on the Homefront he got killed when I zoned by 101. He wasn't with me, just sitting around and an albino got him. I wasn't even around to see it.
Also, is it worth it to keep waiting and waiting to get more of those cryo grenades and mines? I didn't get a chance to use them but freezing people sounds pretty awesome. Waiting that many times is going to suck. Also, did anyone understand the whole Underwood thing? I actually figured the safe would contain some weird item cause he sounded all paranoid and shit, then it turns out to be a wtfpwn plasma pistol.
DLCs in order of fun: Point Lookout > Broken Steel > Mothership Zeta > The Pitt > Operation: Anchorage.
Order if you need good stuff and just started the game: Operation: Anchorage (for the ability to wear power armor without the training and chinese stealth armor) > Mothership Zeta (This is second cause the stealth armor helps tons in here) > The Pitt (ingot hunting ftl) > Broken Steel/Point Lookout.
Ive got a question. I bought Operation Anchorage/The Pitt at EB about 2 weeks ago. For whatever reason I cant get it to install. Everytime I put the disk in, it acts like I put in a data DVD and doesnt load any installer. If I click on the setup in the disk it causes my computer to freeze.
The instructions they gave me were in French but the game disk is English, so I cant exactly read up the help. Any suggestions?
