I picked this up too but I can't see the map marker for the "Regulator HQ" anywhere on my map. Someone mind enlightening me as to it's general location?

NE-ish from Megaton, across the river? I think...I had some trouble finding it on my map last night after doing a bunch of exploring...Icons start to get confusing with a shit load of them on the screen.

So that would mean it's south of the Bethesda office ruins?

I think farther north...Like...South of Temple of Union? I'd need to be at home to look.

You have to go to the brotherhood and be taught how to use them

I found a Prototype Medical Powersuit underneath one of the towns....It talks at you in the drill sargeant Mister Gutsy voice (The butler model robot enemy) when enemies approach and stuff. Saying it's time to kick ass etc.

Is there any armor that's really worth it? I think I played through most of the beginning of the game in Burke's business suit just because I thought it looked cool. I started using the Ranger suit when I got it, but I have 100 small guns now, so it really doesn't help as much. (At least I think it all caps at 100 no matter what your gear gives stats to.

Sorry if this is A) a stupid question or B) a redundant question (I didn't want to risk seeing spoilers throughout this thread) or C) both, but...

Does exp just stop at level 20? I dinged 20 awhile ago and I am simply not getting any exp despite doing all the usual stuff.

    EDIT:

Nvm, yea it is 20. Please excuse me while I jump into a pit of fire.

Does anyone what effect launching the ICBM in Fort Constantine has? I fired it off, had the place shake for a few seconds, then nothing seemed to happen.

Related - for those that have found the Quest "You gotta Shoot 'em in the Head" (started by Mr. Crowley in the Underworld), the keys each person is carrying are for unlocking various doors in Fort Constantine, with the ultimate goal being a very powerful suit of Power Armor (though truthfully, I think the Tesla Power Armor is the best because of the +10 Energy Weapon bonus). If you give Mr. Crowley the keys however, you can't get the armor. And for those on a "good" playthrough, you don't have to kill the people he sends you after. Once you learn about his true intentions after initially acquiring the quest by talking around town, you can simply talk to each of the people and get their key without killing them. Speech Skill and the Black Widow perk both came into play during it.

For pure damage reduction (DR) the standard Combat Armour is pretty good. I've got like 95 Repair skill on my lvl 15 character with the Vault 101 Utility Jumpsuit (+5 Repair) and I can actually get items to full quality. At 100% item quality, I think the Combat Armour gives about 38 DR. It's not terribly hard to come by if you've got the Talon Company mercs after you since the parts are interchangable.

Other than that I sometimes just use one of the Wasterlander pieces with AGI and END boosts on it when I'm running around the wasteland.

I'm kind of saddened that you can't modify standard weapons a-la STALKER Clear Sky, especially since I just find myself using the same Hunting Rifle, Chinese AR, and Combat Shotgun for everything. The Rock-It Launcher is a lot of fun but just doesn't compare to those small guns with my skill and keeping them at tip-top shape. (and the .44 magnum pistol is pretty sweet with the Gunslinger and Sniper perks)

The scoped magnum will one-shot most humanoids with high enough small guns + gunslinger + sniper. The only problem as always is ammo + the gun's condition.

Anyone know how to get to the National Guard Armory?

There is an electrical switch on the upper most floor that opens the armory. You have to go through another section of the ruins to get there though, and it can be a bit confusing.

In the armory there's a terminal to enter the bunker which I haven't figured out how to enter. I'm assuming the password is somewhere though. Anyone have an idea?

And while you are at it, in Paradise Falls, check behind the staircase in Eulogy's house to find 6-7 Quantum Colas. I almost have 30 for that silly quest.

That place was fun... I opted to kill EVERY LAST PERSON in there. Was a bit of a challenge, but overally it was good times, and i felt quite good about it too.

I mainly use my Unique Assault Rifle (forgot the name...starts with X...) and my Terrible Combat Shotgun (another Unique) for dealing with things i need to put down fast (Deathclaws, Behemoths) and then my 10mm Submachinegun or Scoped .44 for most other things.

I have my Sneak capped at 100 with the mask from a Quest in Oasis, and hope to find a few more books to cap that off without it. Using the Tesla Armor as well.

Had a few interesting glitches happen to me.

    1) While doing the Escort portion of the Main Story Quest - Water of Life... i told Dr Li to stay put. I cleared the area ahead and came back to where i left her and she was gone. I back tracked a bit further and found her... hanging out with Dogmeat. Odd thing was, Dogmeat was back at my house in Megaton. I am thinking that my killing the other 3 scientists before the escort mission started confused the game and it warped the only other Excortable NPC i had at the time (Dogmeat) to my location. Very odd.d

    2) Found a slaver camp, something Mills. I sniped a Raider up on a scaffold and 1 shotted him. He died... but then his sprite when HAYWIRE and looked like a piece of silly-putty being stretched in about 7 different directions at once. It just stayed up in the sky above me and kind of followed me, flipping around. It was creepy as hell.

    3) Random wanderings in the Wasteland. I sniped one of those brain robots from a pretty good distance away (not VATS, just crosshairs) and when it died... it dropped dead. Then half a second later i hear a crash next to me, turn around and there it is right next to me... saved me some trouble of having to walk all the way over to it to loot it.

Oh, another cool item in Paradise Falls is the Vault 77 Jumpsuit and the Holotape next to it. Was very cool, and i can only assume that the person that the holotape talks about (and the owner of the Jumpsuit) is none other than the "Mysterious Stranger".

I had this happen in the Super Duper Mart. I sneak-critted a raider in the head with the scoped .44 and his body turned into hyperkinetic jelly until it finally came to rest in a heap by the rear doors.

I can't remember where the quest starts Kyo, let me check in game when i get home unless someone else knows. I just know some crazy woman is addicted and wants 30 Quantum Colas (there are 94 total in the game apparently).
