Not voting means we can bitch, and you'd have to be a fool to not see how 1 sided this election is. one is a media whore, the other's campaign is based on attack the media whore. If i could've voted it'd have been last election. Kerry/Bush was close as fuck, and I would've put in for Kerry.

Donating to someone's campaign isn't nearly as effective as voting for them. I don't know where you got that logic from.

Tell me what good gaining x number of votes does the candidate who lost a given state by any number of votes greater than x. Why is this such a difficult concept to understand?

As for voting for other elected officials, I'm pretty indifferent even with the presidential election; I don't really care about any of the locally elected officials. Call me a bad/lazy citizen, sure, but don't tell me my potential vote would mean anything at all to Obama in this state. >.>;

Dodging jury duty isn't the primary motivation in not voting; I made a handful of posts before mentioning it, where other people have cited it as if it were their biggest perk from not voting. It's ultimately laziness; I have little issue with calling it what it is. However, I remain comforted by the fact that, at least this year, the absence of my vote for Obama will have no impact.

I think those 3rd party candidates enjoy it when the small percentage of voters they take from one of the main candidates affects the outcome of at least one state.

Some states are trying to move toward using registered drivers' licenses as well, but I still believe it's registered voters in most states right now. As for California, I don't know. '-';
