When I voted today we stood in line for MAYBE five to ten minutes before we were let inside to vote. This was in downtown Gainesville...but still, I would be pissed if I had to wait in line for three hours like some of you did. I'm not going to lie, I was nervous when I saw it was really old people handling the computer registry thing, but they seemed to know what they were doing lol.

McCain and Obama are both too much politicians. Obama has little experience, and will most likely well and truly screw the country up in new and exciting ways. McCain, will probably keep screwing things up in the same way Bush has. Either one are simply products at this point, with Obama seemingly the "cool" thing among the younger demographic. That's all well and good, but shows nothing more than the triumph of marketing.

It's too bad that the people who'd be best at running the country are likely not of the mindset to try to do so. Reluctant leaders are often the best, instead of smooth talking media whores like we get now :/

And Barr's elected political experience is being a party-line neocon Republican. Barr also underwent an image makeover post-Borat, incorporating a sweet hipster 'stache and Rivers Cuomo glasses. deregulation has proven disastrous and getting rid of fiat currency and the dept of education are fringe ideas for a damn good reason. The fiat/fed thing seriously; look at the history of recessions prior to fiat/fed and notice that they lasted longer and were caused usually by deflation, which is arguably worse than inflation.
