Which GAxe is better

with fort being roughly 45-50% DA rate (will say 50 for this), and having roughly 20% DA from traits, that means you ONLY get a 20% added DA rate on the other 50% of your hits, or 10% on the total hits, so it adds up to 60%. You also get a 20% chance of DAing on the virtue stone DA, but 1/5th of 50% is again 10%. Therefore, you have a 60% chance of DA and a 10% chance of TA. I don't think you can stack these numbers together though (in other words you still have a 40% chance of a single hit...I think...someone correct me if I'm wrong, because the TA is a derivative of the DA%).

Fort axe's double attack can proc on other double attacks (just like all sea weapons).

It's just that the other Gaxes are too good, which is why it's in the 'having fun screwing around' category.

Fort. Axe is the end-all for one situation: /DNC. Absolutely owns in Campaign; I used Perdu / Bomblet for most everything else.

Ah yes that's the other reason for not using fort over perdu or some other great GA, you have to sacrifice that ammo slot for stones. It's not huge, but it is something (whether you use bomblet or bomb core, doesn't matter which).

If you don't have a current active sea schedule,if I were you, I would'nt worry about Fortitude,consentrate on getting your Perdu and be happy.Remember it is'nt knicknamed "The Maneater of Greataxe" for nothing.Get Some!

Fort axe's double attack can proc on the same round as other double attacks, not on the double attacks themselves. The latter would imply a 4-hit round is possible(fort proc on both DAs), but it isn't.
