On PS2, it scanned like all my files, downloaded 5, and is reinstalling all my files as well, in addition to the 5 downloaded ones.

It's going like superfast, no 2-hour check files time or anything, but thought this was weird all the same.

From what I understand, SE feels the same way. The problem is that POL is so deeply ingrained into the billing process that they can't do away with it for FFXI. Their new MMO won't be using POL from what I've heard.

It was a great idea to start with, but it assumed too much and reached too far.

I hope they're fixing the non-random loot pool randomizer. At the moment, whenever you see something drop in Nyzul/Limbus, you can be sure another one of the same is not far behind.

E.g. last month was Werebuster month, this month is Sturdy Axe month. And in Apollyon, if you see one DRG rivet you can bet you'll see 2-3 more before the evening is over.

We almost always get multiples of the same job's Limbus item on the same nights.

We'll get 3 MNKs, and the next week we'll get 2-3 PLD, etc etc, it's happened for far too long for me to think that it's just dumb luck anymore.

I've gone on so many pick up 20 runs to get my Goliard feet (they still don't exist, I'm certain of it) and been PUP'ed so many times from the boss that I fucking quit doing Nyzul.

We've had Werebusters out of the ears... and on Friday it was raining polearms (well not literally because that might be somewhat painful). Unfortunately it's BST MNK PLD we really need.

At last count, my group has dropped 5 of them. We've had well over 7 werebusters, and prolly about 10 vorpal swords.
