I'm beginning to wonder if they even changed anything or they simply felt like resetting the servers. Only time will tell now...gotta love SE's update notes.

Well...the notice said it won't affect current functions or w/e, which means it isn't an actual update that's for us..it's more for FFXI behind the scenes. iirc the main core files were updated...so I doubt we're missing out on anything.

official rolling restarts once a week/month that didnt reset pop timers would probably be a good idea tbh

I added a new member account to my POL. when adding the password, I was not allowed to type it in, I had to use the on screen keypad that popped up. New?

I can still type in passwords fine, not to mention the patch was for FFXI, not POL.

This update was towards something dealing with FFXI.

Well they did say something about being happy with what's coming up in the Dec update, well..normal players might be happy..anyway.

So maybe it's something in preparation for that..since everytime they did "update" something in regards to that it was always a new feature being implemented either via POL or via FFXI.

With December only being a month away and still nothing about it on POL, I doubt the update will be next month

Yeah, we probably won't start getting info till around middle/late nov since after every major update there's like a dry spell of info for a month or so.

On a kinda side note regarding graphics glitches, one of fenrir's eyes has always looked like two-face's bad eye due to a what appears to be a pulled vertice (a point is clearly sticking out in an odd position there). Have always wanted to see this cleared up.

I'm pretty sure the update killed dual-boxing on one PC, upon trying to log in(with windower) when it should go into windowed/fullscreen mode it instantly returns to POL on second copy. Perhaps just a glitch, but I've tried several times and windower still works fine. Anyone want to check/confirm?

I just dual-boxed on my laptop (XP), my main did shut down when I logged the alt on while I was already logged in. Just open both POL windows at the same time and log them in together. That did it for me.

Hm, not seeing the issues either of you two are describing. Logged in one character, read this thread, then logged in the other just fine.
