Woooo, looks like the Cards are going to be playing for the Big East title tonight. Kind of strange after Pitt/UCONN have been fighting tooth and nail over the #1 seed for the past weeks.

Michigan beating Minnesota is going to make all kinds of trouble with all these bubble teams. I have a feeling people are going to cry bloody murder with the number of bids from the Big Ten. (not sure of how many the deserve, but 9 have a shot and I think 6-8 will end up getting in) Half the league in the Big Ten is probably going to end up 9-9 and every one of those teams in the 9-9 log jam are on the bubble.

I think Michigan State will require a ton of help to be a #1 seed. UL won't need help, but they'll have to at least go to the Big East Championship in the tourney. UCONN still only has 3 losses in the big east, 2 of which have came against what is probably the best team in the nation. I wouldn't call their 1-seed scrapped just yet, especially when MSU has 5 losses against much weaker teams.

I hate Cincinnati sports. UC lets Seton Hall come back even though Seton was basically giving the game away. Then Xavier loses again.

Having lived in Pittsburgh my entire life I've noticed one thing about Pitt basketball. They will throttle anyone who is better ranked than they are. And then proceed to lose to San Jose State Technical Institute for the Blind the next game. I've never said this about a Pitt team before, but I like their chances in the tourney.

What a great ending to the regular season in the ACC, thats the best defense we've played all year and it couldnt have come at a better time. The next weeks in college basketball are going to be exciting.

The defense was pretty good, but I'd say finishing strong was the biggest strong point in this game. They've had problems with letting up in the closing minutes, and UNC really clamped down today. Was a really good show. Even better for UNC, Lawson didn't have a huge scoring night, and Hansbrough was pretty sub par in a really impressive win. Good play by other players is what they'll need come NCAA time, and they got that today.
